My last live concert was pretty insane, too. The line was right out the door and half way out into the parking lot and this was only half an hour until show time, so a good number of attendees were already inside. They really should have had the line wrap around the building to reduce the impact. The girls weren't even the main act for that one, it was RHCP, but a good number, nearly a majority of my section of the line, were BABYMETAL fans. This group really knows how to draw in the numbers.
Being somebody that has only discovered Babymetal a year ago and never had the chance to see them in concert, I would literally cut one of my fingers off just to see them live tomorrow. I am obsessed with them..

Great vlog Callie. I think you balanced between getting some of the best live fancam footage I've seen and not spending the whole time videoing the performance. I was off to your left about a 3rd of the way along 3rd row not too far from the platform on that side. Have to agree that Moa is such an amazing talent - she really knows how to get the crowd going with those waves and smiles and the incredible energy that she brings. I was a little worried about Riho after seeing the Glasto coverage and how puffed out she looked but I'm guessing that was just jet lag as she was awesome that night. I think Starlight brought a tear to many of our eyes, so happy I have seen that live now. So much energy from the crowd as well, what a great evening. Can't wait for February!

Hi Callie, Thank you very much for this overview. Very nice footage from the show, preciate it.Fortunately you were able to get the middle front seats, you and your friend deserved them. Once in a while security guys looked like they dont know where to go and what to do? Lot of special moments in that show; new songs, rarely played songs etc. I will see Babymetal for the first time in february here in Helsinki, Finland, maybe going also to Tillburg. Well, I guess _Syncopation_ wasn't "too Japanese" for overseas audiences, after all. I'm glad they figured that out. Such a great song! It looks like an awesome time all the way. Great to see the "Happy Birthday" sign to Moa. Thank you for sharing! Moa seems like she's very observant of the audience, and people recording. I wouldn't be surprised if she's looking at you, and thinking "Oh, hey, you're that really pretty girl who has the nice hair and always shows up when we're in the UK or Europe! Here's a big smile courtesy of Super Moa-chan because you deserve it!" In my mind, I have established that as the reality of the situation. :D

It was a mess when they opened the doors, but I did get about the spot I expected to get. Granted that people who showed up later were closer to the centre of the stage than me. It was still amazing, but I’m considering contacting the venue in Finland about the system beforehand to make sure the first time I see them in my home country won’t be ruined by people skipping in the line. It was nice to see you again in Brixton! I hope to see you again for the 10-year anniversary ;)

Singer of one of mine most favorite bands was also worked tattoos, and I actually had no idea he was working tattoos too. So when I went to work my next tattoo I was at other studio and was really surprised to see him working there. And while I am big fan of the band I was just like " O I had no idea you are working on tattoos too" and he was like "well it is good extra cash" and he did good tattoo too. I never figured out why people would totally got so lost when they meet some of their fans....

At 3:00 I've seen so many of these people in Babymetal concert videos. For example, the one guy right in front of you wearing that satchel was at Rock am Ring I think and a guy towards the front on the very right with long hair was at Glastonbury.

great stuff - my visit to london featured a bit more guitarshops /drinking / moshpit but had as good a time as you did i think! - you passed me crossing the road afterwards and i chased you down and said hello (i thought a drunk hairy scottish guy would be scary for you so i left it at that) - rock on - got my ticket for glasgow in feb - cant wait!

I came up in the video a couple times haha but in the actual venue I met this super nice guy in the standing stall who saved my space for me so that I could get water and even pushed a crowd surfer off my head. But as a 15 year old 5’3 girl, I was a hella lot smaller than pretty much everyone and got felt up a couple of times and the guy was nice enough to stand behind me and sacrifice his metal bar space (and he kept his distance) just to stop people from touching me. He was super kind and he ended taking my sister and I’s pics and we took his. We found him after the concert and I got his name which I don’t remember very well but I think it was ‘Odva’ or something with that pronunciation, but he really did so much to make sure my first ever concert was not regrettable. Unfortunately I did not get any contact information and I don’t recall if he told me he lived in London or abroad. I’m planning on saving up to their next concert in London Apollo just to try and find him and see another concert with him! I’m hoping if this video gets popular enough and my comment is at the top of the comment section we might get in contact. Wish me luck everyone 🦊 🤟🏼

I know it's been a while since you've posted this but thank you for sharing your adventure with all of us! Seeing this really brings back a lot of memories of when I saw them at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA the same year, which was the last show of the Metal Galaxy U.S. tour. Hopefully once this global pandemic ends we can all experience a BABYMETAL concert once again. 🤘✨

omfg it me!! i'm so nostalgic already i wanna go baaacck. Yeah no it was very very disorganised when we got inside, cause I didn't know we were lining up until loads of people already had haha, and cause there were two doors i didn't really know where to go. But i got a good spot in the end! Was a bit confusing though cause the whole number thing got really weird. One girl who got there at 5pm was way ahead of me ugh. And it was TOTALLY fine that you pushed in front of those guys, cause you'd waited for so long and i would've wacked someone if you hadn't got barrier lol.
Yeah the queuing system failed. Totally. O2 Academy really dropped the ball on that. Lost track how many times I got moved from one side to the other and back.
It means a lot to us Japanese to know there are people like you who are really into BM. Besides, I could find out what it's like to get good front spaces from your video. Very interesting. Please keep showing your videos. Love and peace for Japan and UK.

I know it's been a while since you've posted this but thank you for sharing your adventure with all of us! Seeing this really brings back a lot of memories of when I saw them at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA the same year, which was the last show of the Metal Galaxy U.S. tour. Hopefully once this global pandemic ends we can all experience a BABYMETAL concert once again. 🤘✨

omfg it me!! i'm so nostalgic already i wanna go baaacck. Yeah no it was very very disorganised when we got inside, cause I didn't know we were lining up until loads of people already had haha, and cause there were two doors i didn't really know where to go. But i got a good spot in the end! Was a bit confusing though cause the whole number thing got really weird. One girl who got there at 5pm was way ahead of me ugh. And it was TOTALLY fine that you pushed in front of those guys, cause you'd waited for so long and i would've wacked someone if you hadn't got barrier lol.
I think 'everyone' knew Callie had the first number, so if they would make trouble other fans would step in as well I would hope.
Yeah the queuing system failed. Totally. O2 Academy really dropped the ball on that. Lost track how many times I got moved from one side to the other and back.
It means a lot to us Japanese to know there are people like you who are really into BM. Besides, I could find out what it's like to get good front spaces from your video.
