It blows my mind everytime you show the underside of these older trucks, im in northern michigan and the new trucks on the lot have more rust on them 😂
I would highly recommend you do some upgrades to the motor to get more power out of it. Or do front and rear gears upgrade because with 37in tires on that truck with that motor. I promise you it will have no power with 37in tires.
@@Garrard1198 yea that’s what I meant. It just that motor is the 5.9L magnum motor and I had one to, but mine was a 2004 model and 4-door. Mine was terrible and in my opinion that is probably one of the worst motors dodge has ever produced. It is nothing compared to the 5.7L Hemi motor which is what I have right now. So I am not knocking dodge. I just remember when I got mine back in the day it came with a 3in lift on it already and I immediately put some 35in boggers on it and it was terrible with 35’s on mine. It was way underpowered on the highway, sand, mud, water. Hell just about any environment other than driving under 55 miles an hour. So I can only imagine how bad it will be on his truck with 37in tires.
wrong. they don’t come with brand new blocks for you to not replace em. that’s like saying he’s buying 5” springs to stack on top of other springs. don’t make sense at all
After you get bigger blocks, I'd say go with some toyo open country MT's on mickey thompson Classic 2's. 35s or 37s would look great, old school ftw imo
Bro knew how to get everyone to comment LOL. "LIFT THE REAR" . I believe in Chase's taste, looking forward to seeing the wheel setup. High quality video once again brother!!
I got a 2011 Ram 2500 (same suspension you have) 2” thuren coils with 37’s on the polished 17’s. Front sits at 43 3/4” fender height. It’s best to set your toe close to 0 as possible and get your caster cams on your lower control arms straight up and when you do 37’s you can put them back one notch on the caster cams for a little better stability.
Black wheels with 37's would look sooooo good! Maybe a set of wicked wheels? They have some clean set. W909 i think would take that truck to the next level. Build looks great! Thanks for the great videos
I had (still have in storage now) a set of 2" 5 lug to 6 lug Bora adapters. Had Chevy 20x10 -25 on 33x12.5 MTs. Everyone said it looked like I had 14 wides. There's a short video on my channel I posted that shows it a little bit from when I added remote start to it. The truck was just on a. 3" level up front, and 2" drop in the back, 2wd so sat a lil lower stock compared to a 4wd. I had to cut a lot on the front fenders at the lower back corners so it wouldn't rub anymore. Looked pretty nice with 4th gen tow mirrors
I had the same truck growing up and put the same lift on it. I could never get my pitman arm off either so I never ran it and I never had any issues out of it after owning the truck another 5 years.
I have a Skyjacker 7 inch lift long arm kit on My Dodge ram 2500 1998, and it's sitting on 37.. and that 98 half ton Dodge that you just got done putting that 5-inch lift I wouldn't put more than just a 35 on it, and I think you'll be good without trimming or cutting also what I would do is put a stabilizer gearbox bracket to help hold the gearbox up because it'll have Flex as your steering . I've got three of the second gen 3/4 ton Dodges and that's what I've had to do to mine I've had one of them where it started cracking the frame a little bit that I've had to fix so yeah I would definitely put them on there that's a really good looking truck to have that happen to it
I’d say Throw a 1 inch bigger block in the back it’ll have some baby lean and 2nd gen’s look so good with some lean, it looks good how it sits now too some polished kg1s or the new Atkin forged would look sick but so would some machined 17” methods on 37” ridge grapplers
I think some really wide 15" rims steel classic style with some 35 x 10.5 mud tires stretched over them would be very fly. Mabe 15 x 14 rims with 35 x 10.5 or 12.5. Probably any mud terrain would look cool. Boggers would be next level but i dont know how long a bias ply tire would last with road driving
Damn man everybody commenting “lift the rear more”. If yall would listen he said he was gonna get a bigger rear block 😂. Me personally though i think the truck looks slick and you should keep it however you please
I don't know what tires you should get but I know for sure grapplers are not gonna look good or maybe I just don't like way they make a truck look. Either way very nice clean 2nd gen.
I think they purposely make it a 2 inch difference from the front to the rear with a lift kit so when you do tow something with your truck, it will level itself back out similar to factory
I hate to say it but I really liked how it sat previously. I’m loving oem+ lately and they typically ride way better
It blows my mind everytime you show the underside of these older trucks, im in northern michigan and the new trucks on the lot have more rust on them 😂
Kinda wish it would have ended up level lol but it’s cool I dig it can’t wait to see the wheels
bro it’s level, yall say anything is squat 🤣

Throw some 37inch mud tires on the stocks !
I was thinking some 4th Gen limited stocks on 37s
The rear blocks are meant to be stacked. You're essentially canceling the two out, only running the after-market block instead of both

Honestly the drag link joint angle doesn’t look bad at all if you can’t get the new one on there it looks like it will ride fine
Looks good man! Lots of hate in these comments for some reason. Keep up the hard work!
clears, clear tails from aft parts with the blue paintmatched, whip, will look perfect
Thing sits so nice! 🔥
Have to lift the rear some more. An add-a-leaf would probably help that old suspension out too
Throw a 2.5” level on the front along with a adjustable track bar (I didn’t on mine personally) it’ll clear 20x12s with 37s and have plenty of room
Black out on the front and back bumper plastics or color match would bring it full circle!👌🤘🏼
Love the way it sounds
Loving it! Now just need some tires.
I think you should lift the rear to level but for 37s it will look wonderful!!!
Also PLEASE DO BLACK HEADLIGHTS!!

Make sure you adjust the headlights! That seems to be one thing a lot of people forget when lifting vehicles.
Larr bear needs more love!! Hes just rotting away behind the dodge 😢
The 2 arms on each side of the front axle to frame are just control arms. Track bar is the one that you had to drill the hole with the drop bracket
Those are control arms. Trac bars keep the axle from going side to side.
Truck looks great you need a good bubba setup since you sold denim
Also a tool video when you get the shop built
The rear needs to be lifted higher for sure, I think it would look great on the stock wheels with 37s.

Pitman, you gotta alternate heat and PB, and hit it with a sledge or air hammer. Pullers work sometimes, but most of the time, they're stuck.
