Oh I loved watching Yoshi - he's adorable! Reminds me of my baby girl when she was a puppy. Speaking of which, she is an American Eskimo and sheds her white fur like crazy - she's my constant fashion accessory! So on the bag, you may find the camel color more practical with Yoshi. Congrats on your new puppy and good luck continuing the baby prep!

Oh my gosh, that is legitimately the cutest puppy that I have ever seen! 😍 I’m not a “dog person,” but I haven’t been able to get enough of your Yoshi stories on Instagram, and this vlog was cuteness overload. I could watch that little fluff ball all day. Since you asked for opinions there at the end, although 99% of the time I would select a black bag over a beige one, I would probably pick the camel Marc Jacobs Tote because it shows off the texture (which is basically the point of this style) better than the black.

Oh miniature American Eskimo! Ours passed 15 years ago and we were still finding white fur everywhere for years after. She was such a sweetie and I miss her.
Thank you soo much for this video, it's the loveliest! I have a dog myself and puppy phase was hard! Yoshi is so adorable and has such a sassy attitude, i love him already! A little advice: don't use the collar inside the house, leave it for when you take him outside 🥰 And start with the leash training as soon as you can. Lots of love🥰

My Samoyed is 10yrs old now and we’ve had him since he was a puppy and let me tell you- they are best dogs. Friendly with every person and dog and super great with babies/kids. I have an infant and a 4 yr old and he’s so gentle with them.
Ahh that’s so great to hear! Definitely one of the reasons we chose a Samoyed. Dan used to have a malamute who was lovely but not so great with kids. Samoyed seemed like a great compromise!
I recommend bell training for Yoshi. Just put a rope bell on the door, and everytime you take him out ring the bell, this will give him a job as well as a way of letting you know when he needs to go out to potty/wee.

We have a samoyed too 😊 she's just turned 1 and has finally stopped shedding after months of cotton wool all over the house... pro tip is to brush behind his ears regularly since those get matted really quickly if you don't stay on top of it!

I’ve had three puppies and getting them to sleep in a crate until they’re house trained does work - make it really cosy and play with them and give treats in the crate with the door open so it’s their safe place rather than a punishment at bedtime. Also put them outside the second they come out the crate or wake up from naps- most accidents were my fault because I got distracted and played with them instead of going outside
Yes put a little toy in there. As soon you get up take him out.

Crate training is what worked for us. Also, no free feeding. Watch when he eats/drinks. He will need to go within an hr of feeding. So take him outside around that time and wait for him to go. Stop feeding/water around 2 hrs before bedtime. Take him potty right before bed and he will sleep through the night. Good luck! I’m 7.5 months pregnant and have a 9 month old puppy :)

It was fun. Wouldn’t mind seeing more vlogs like this. Good idea with the cold mat. How big is he going to get? My daughter uses a crate, and her dog loves it. I think it’s the crates size, because it condenses their surroundings to a more manageable size for them.

You look great. Puppy is adorable. I did the John Lewis appointment before my pregnancy and was very helpful. If you have some time do some research before around buggies to get some idea of what you want otherwise you will spend the entire appointment on that and you won’t have a chance to go through anything else. For baby clothing I highly highly recommend Wundersuits (they ship to uk) or some uk equivalents GrowGrows or Zippys - perfect as the zip both ways and have integrated covers for hands and feet - that’s almost all my first wore for 6 months and what my 4 month old is currently in. For vests etc. Baby Mori is crazy soft

Yes! The middle floor is currently chaos because we’re redoing two rooms but as soon as that’s done (hopefully in the next month or so!), I’m planning on doing an updated tour 🥰❤️
Beautiful and adorable Yoshi!! Watching your video brought back so many memories of my growing-up years, as we had a wonderful Samoyed, who was my "furry" little brother. He looked just like Yoshi when he was a puppy. They're a wonderful breed and are great family dogs, extremely intelligent and loyal. The history of the breed is very interesting, as well. Samoyeds need a lot of exercise, as they were bred to work, but they also LOVE to play and interact with their families. With proper training they are a fabulous breed but need to know who the boss is in the home, as they can be very mischievous, chewing up shoes, handbags, furniture, etc. when left alone too much. Finally, because Samoyeds have thick undercoats (which acts as a natural heater or air conditioner, depending on the season), daily brushing is required. Otherwise, your house, clothes and furniture will be covered in Yoshi's white hair!! Congratulations!! I am so happy for you and Dan!

Good luck with all! What a cute lil puppy! One thing for potty training is taking your puppy out for a potty walk to learn to do it outside and it’s the best!
That is sooo cute that he knows where to get his toys from his toy chest 😍 the trainer is right about the pads. I have had dogs all my life and honestly, potty training is the worst and crate training will break your heart bc you'll hear him cry bc he wants you and you have to be firm and just keep going bc it's really worth it. After consistent crate and potty training for a year, you can let him out with no crate inside the house even without a dog gate and he'll be an angel. I notice y'all have some carpets and the thing with pads is, that it's hard for dogs to recognize a pad vs a carpet since they are both things that lie flat on the floor and are similar to each other, especially for a puppy. I know it's gonna suck suck suckkkk but really the only way to potty train is to go outside with him every 30-45 min, maybe every hour, but 30 min is safer. Even if he doesn't do anything that's ok, this way he'll get used to a routine of, "ok, outside is where I need to go when I need to go." A dog is another responsibility and when I had my recent puppy last year, not gonna lie on the third day I was just so exhausted and about to just give up on her and just say I wanna take her back to her previous breeder and say I can't do it. My fiancé encouraged me to just stay with the consistent potty and crate train and it will be worth it and about 4-6 months potty training improved. it's been a year and she knows to go outside when she needs to go but even though she's 1yo, we still need to absolutely take her first thing in the morning and right before we go to bed. At 1yo we just now let her out of her crate to go to bed on a bed beside us, but she still stays in a crate when we go to work. But if I'm at home all day she can stay out of course since she's pretty well trained. But that's just what it takes, y'all can do it just stick with it even when it sucks. Good luck!

What a cutie :) I have a Labrador Retriever who is now 12.5 years old and we've had him since e was 8 weeks .. puppies are a lot of work! haha ... just a suggestion ... best way to potty train is use a command word and take him outside every single time and only take him back in after he does his business (unless you want urine smell in the house lol) and crate train .. he will learn in time, be patient ... you are doing good and he is super adorable :)
We’ve been doing the command word and I do think it’s working! (Maybe that’s just wishful thinking though haha). We try to stay outside with him as the trainer advised that too but he LOVES being outside and he holds it in! Then as soon as we’re inside, he goes! 🤦🏻♀️😂 We spend a ridiculous amount of our days waiting for him to do his business haha
Adorable as Yoshi is,you need to get tougher with him. Crate training will be well worth the effort because, when the baby arrives, he needs to know he’s not the boss! Good luck.

Very cute!! The wooden floor is slippery so its not good for the dog’s knee. Advice to get like a carpet flooring for places where the dog run around alot!

What a precious floof! My German Shepheard puppy was a terror but picked up potty training quick. Crate training helped us a lot because she would cry when she wanted to get out or had to go poop. Tip: Buy a big enough crate that you can adjust the size if its too big they will just poop in the corner but if its just right they will alert you first because they dont like to poop where they sleep. We warmed her up to the crate with giving her meals and treats in the crate with lots of praise so she knew it was a happy and positive place. Good luck on your puppy/baby journey! Please do a labor/birth vlog also if you feel like it.

It doesn’t look good. I miss it, but it is only small inconvenience - I love my cat so much. So I recommend the camel bag.

Sometimes dog get car sick. They also can’t distinguish carpet rugs and grass. Samoyed? Would love to know how much work is involved in that breed. So adorable!! Congrats! I can’t wait to get my puppy!

Puppy is so cute. He looks like a little teddy bear ❤️. When my dog was a puppy it took us 3 months to train her to poop and pee outside, especially pee, but we weren't the best at training. It's good you got a trainer to give you advise on training. I think that would have helped me out tremendously.
