With inflation currently at about 10%, my primary concern is how to grow my reserve of $240k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains, sure I'm all in on the long term game, but with my savings are lying waste to inflation and my portfolio losing gains everyday, I need a remedy asap.

    • @colmansnider9672

Sell puts on lower price for a stock you want to buy. For example current price of ms is 240 you want to own it at 200 so sell put on 200 dollar. If price hit you get your share at your desired price and also get premium of puts if it doesn't hit you still get put premium. If you still didn't understand watch everything money video. I learned it from there.

With the inflation, the stock isn't going to be raking in huge gains. It wouldn't be a bad time to BUY it, just don't expect big gains from it for a while. I'll buy once things start looking up in all those trouble areas..until then, too much turbulence for me.

I'm sure the idea of a portfolio-managers might sound controversial to a few, but a new study by investopedia found out that demand for Portfolio-Managers sky-rocketed by over 41.8 percent since the pandemic and based on firsthand encounter I can say for certain their skillsets are topnotch. I've raised over $400k within 14months from an initially stagnant portfolio worth of 120K which was devoid of dividend stocks. These are the high-volume traders.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

    1) ETF You can pledge with broker and hedge in derivatives.
    2) Mutual funds are best for Tax filings.
    3) ETF is ready and easily redeemable whereas mutual funds take 7 working days to credit the money.

In index I understand dividend is adjusted towards nav and hence it gets compounding effect also in long run. Also dividends are taxed as per applicable tax slabs. What are the charges for trading in Liquid beES/ liquid ETFs?
All charges for Liquid BeES/ Liquid ETFs are the same as that of equity trades, except that there is no STT charged for Liquid BeES/Liquid ETFs. There is no entry/exit load as this fund is traded on the secondary market.
Charges for Liquid BeES/Liquid ETFs are transaction charges of 0.00345% for NSE and 0.00375% for BSE on turnover (qty * price), 18% GST on transaction charge, SEBI charge of ₹10/crore + 18% GST, and stamp duty as per the state on the correspondence address.
While exiting Liquid BeES from demat a DP charge of ₹8 + GST is charged whereas the DP charge for exiting Liquid ETF is ₹13.5 + GST at Zerodha.

After watching one of yr video on 9th Feb 21, I had purchased 200 Niftybees as Experiment @161.46, despite all ups and dows as on today they shows 22.63% appreciation. I feel its far better than keeping money in FD. All who are not active investors find it difficult to track or watch portfolio regularly can try this option. If Indian economy grows as expected, one can expect at least 15%PA return on this.
But I have one question all these stocks must have given some dividend to the fund manager. Where that money is going. Because I don't think these ETF companies disburse anything.
    Please advise.

Crystal clear explanation. So basically who don’t have knowledge in Mutual fund / Share market they can blindly invest their money in to Nifty Fifty MF in longer horizon definitely they will get decent return. 😊😊

This is probably due to mis selling propaganda.. In longer horizon DEFINITELY get decent return... No, your chance only increases with time to get positive return, no guarantee. Recently, covid crash teaches that lesson in a harsh manner.

@@K2Maji Market returns are due to Risk appetite when you are short term investor you will not gain decent return. Am mentioning about who ever ready to invest more than 7 to 10 years in Nifty 50 MF funds definitely it will give you great return. Refer past 20 years nifty chart FYI.

@@srinivasansm There will be always volatility in the market, even most disciplined SIP can't reduce that in the long term. Look at the standard deviation of any fund, you can land up anywhere after long term. Don't expect any fixed return, its uncertain.

@@K2Maji Yes your right. We can’t except standard \ Fixed return but in longer horizon we can get some decent percentage of returns.
