I am THRILLED to have found your video and am happy to report that I successfully cut off 3/8" off the width of a Bali pleated shade. I had placed a $3000+ order and due to my credit card approval timing out the order was never fulfilled. In my haste to completely re-enter the measurements of all 19 shades, I inadvertently ordered one too wide. Your video saved me from a costly mistake. Thank you!
For those of you wondering, I went ahead and purchased a thinner 60 tooth blade.
I trimmed a piece of wood before the shade to get rid of any potential transfer of paint from the blade to the shade.
I did EXACTLY as the video said and it worked PERFECTLY.

Just what I needed to view. I have four blinds that need to have with width shortened, so what a great teaching video that I could have found. Thank you Shane.

Hi. Just saw your video. It is very helpful. Question: Have you ever had the coating from the Diablo blade rub off where it cut? If so, any tips on dealing with this? Thanks.

Yes but once the blind is installed, if it's inside mounted, they will never see it. Also, If you took some fine grit sandpaper to the blade you could remove the color before using it to cut your blinds.

Too much wind, I’ll redo this video.
