Thanks for the video! It's an honor that the TNT pack has carved out a space for itself - it was a dream to lead it. I'm very grateful for everyone who contributed to it, and everyone who continues to talk about and share it. Savior of Humanity actually has a few more references to offer, which I introduced in my edits to Continuum's original, but they're pretty subtle - I wanted the TNT vibes without retreading old ground too heavily. The rising synth tones from 0:34 to 0:47 quote the TNT title theme, the little pre-riff "hold" section right afterward has a major-key guitar sequence taken from Sadistic, and the bridge from 3:35 to 3:47 is a play on the rhythm of Into the Beast's Belly's main riff! Looking forward to the next video - cheers, as always!
Thank YOU for leading the project! To say you all did some amazing work is an understatement. I've probably listened to these tracks more times than I can count, and it's so cool to hear them in PWADs outside of the TNT realm. About Savior of Humanity - I'm kickin' myself for missing those bits haha, but I totally hear them now, especially the riff from Sadistic - those were some clever additions. Cheers!
"Into a Sandy City" is such a clever one 1:48 I used to think this extra part in "Don't Stop Bleedin" originated from the MIDI Pack itself but it turns out it was as old as Final Doom itself.
It really is. Who doesn't love some demon-slaying set to a jaunty beach tune? And same here - I hadn't played Perdition's Gate until recently and was surprised when I heard it there!
Wait, Death's Bells was written by Leo Sieben? I thought it was by Jonathan El-Bizri. Was great to see Peter Lawrence's and decino's names appear here. :)
I don’t know if I’d call savior of humanity a reference and more like an edit cammy did of Ivan’s pre-existing midi. I also didn’t even know the switch up in don’t stop bleedin’ was a perdition’s gate reference. All things considered, I’d say this is easily my favorite community made midi pack, as it helped me enjoy TNT just a bit more.
The TNT MIDI Pack will forever hold a special place in my heart. Not only is it full of tracks that just hit you in all of the right spots, it isn’t afraid to pay homage to its source material. It’s one big celebration of TNT with some of the most incredible reimaginings of old Doom music you’ve ever seen.
With the DOOM + DOOM II combo remaster containing TNT Evilution alongside the Plutonia Experiment, The Master Levels, No Rest for the Living, Sigil, and Legacy of Rust, I’m super excited to get to experience all of these levels and their music!

Legion of the Lost has been, and always will be, the midi of TnT Evilution. Something about it speaks to me an emotional level.

Amen to that!

Don't forget Sigil II.
