this Mr. Husband is fascinating. he is an absolutely gifted genius Improviser, risen in his art to be perfectly suited as complement to John Mclaughlin. listening in concert with 4th Dimension, one can see when he satisfies /impresses Mclaughlin with his 100% original improvs. Voila. Magnifique, Mr. G. Husband !!
When I first head the guitar reintroduction that your LH is having to do after the “boogie” section it always split my head apart. I can’t imagine the concentration needed to play through when the drums are playing that lopsided blues. I’m sure you’ll put it to bed though. Best of luck and hope ye get to play it on the gig. Make a video for all of us if you do!
It's so very cool to see you go back and forth from keys to drums with such mastery. Much respect. Have always enjoyed your playing no matter what you're playing, be it instrument or music.
I have always loved this melody. This tune kinda reminds me a little of the arrangement for 'Layla' but the piano suite being at the end instead. Thank you Gary
So it's ironic that I very much love the piano soloing you did on I.O.U., which I've assumed over the years you played single-handedly. Good luck and prayers for the success of your upcoming tour.
Gary, thanks for sharing this! What a nice piece. The 20/8 makes perfect sense when you listen to the phrasing. Any plans to play in the US in the near future? Greetings from Kansas!

As always, wonderful.
That piece still gives me goosebumps as it did almost 50 years ago. Great play. Thank You.

Bravo Maestro……well done…..and by the Way what a great Tune…….it’s not only Notes, it’s deep emotional and it shifts to a higher Space……
I absolutely love your spiritual approach to playing and your ability to adapt time to the music!

Astonishing. Thank you for the insight, Gary. I hope it's in the repertoire on the tour!
Fantastic Gary sir....
Oh heck yes...recently recorded a version of Dance of Maya.
Yeah classic McLaughlin.
Plan to tackle this one too.
Thanks, Gary!!!!!!

Masterful.
I still dig “dance of Maya” in 18/8. That seems to have been written later.
Excellent demo! I can't even play the LH part with BOTH hands! lol
How u doinng?~ broth!omg! splendid .
You're a superb piano player and drummer. Chick Corea told you that 🙏🏼
Still haven’t lost the hope that you would release an album of Mahavishnu interpretations on the piano!
It’s been available for years. Shouldn’t be too hard to find.
😊👍
Wow!......Thanks for sharing .........
Do you study Konokol?
Fantastic Gary - as always.
Bravo 👏
