Red Gauntlet- Probably a reference to the Soviet Union's flag color and association with red. 2. Kursk Fury- This references the Battle of Kursk, a major battle of WWII on the Eastern Front. 3. Barbarossa Hammer- This references the failed Operation Barbarossa, in which the Soviets defeated the Germans in a number of battles. 4. Moscow Barrage- A reference to the historical city of Moscow. 5. Osowiec Inferno- A reference to the Battle of Osowiec Fortress, or the ominously named Attack of the Dead Men. 6. The Eastern Front- A blatant reference to... the Eastern Front. To be fair, it was an important standing point for the Allies against the Axis. 7. Warsaw Pact- Another blatant reference to... the Warsaw Pact! Which simply gave the Soviets a lot more land to brutally suppress. 8. Iron Curtain- One of the many suppressions of the Soviet Union on the Eastern Bloc AND on its territory beside Finland.
The Osowiec Inferno is actually a history thing, Osoweic was a russian fortress during WW1, the russians were holding this sector and the germans used dangerous toxic gas, the russians had either really bad gas masks or no gas masks so when the german soldiers thought they were dead the russians would rise with the bodies torn apart from the gas and pieces of lung coming from there mouth and looking like zombies, the story is called "The attack of the dead men" since the jaeger and the pilots are russian its cool how they did a cool history detail.
