tyy i knew i just had to put it on my shoulders but i didnt know if i should have just let it dry without fully rubbing it in or as much as i could. so that rly clears things up
Weeelll, you never start off with the gel because the gel dose is way too high. You always start off with a small dose and then slowly build it up. By the time you're on the recommended dose of t that allows you to start using the gel you've probably been using t for a year or more so your body has already changed quite a bit. I use two pumps a day, used to inject once in two weeks but the gel dose is a lot higher than the injections. Also with injections my voice started to change after a month (depends on your body how fast it goes tho because i already had unusually high testosterone levels so my body adapted really fast to it)
Musa Nomo I’m about to start on gel hopefully this month. If I took the injections it would be too high of a dose. With the gel you can go down to 1/4 of a full adult dose of testosterone. Hope this helps you understand lol.
@@forrestseven8355 ah that's weird, the dosage is probably different from where I live (netherlands) here its standard to start with injections because the gel has a high T concentration. Anyway congrats bro
Hi Ryan i just started Testogel today. I was just wondering does the gel stay on your clothes when you put them on after applying it I mean even after your skin is dry again :)
My gel prescription has instructions for each number of pumps per day. It states that with 4 pumps a day, you should put two on one shoulder and two on the other.
Thanks for this video. I've been applying two pumps per arm just like this for four months now and don't see any difference at this point. I'm wondering if some peoples' bodies just don't absorb it.
Hi! 😊 Maybe this could seem a stupid question, but I was just wondering if we can pet animals after T. I'm on gel too. I put it on my upper chest and shoulders then I wear a t-shirt and I carefully wash my hands. Can I pet my cats and can they sleep next to my legs, or should I wait a few hours even for touching them with my clean hands?
So January will be my 2 years on t I believe and I just wanted to know how is it with gel then the shot? My wife does the shot for me since I don’t like the look of needles and my hands shake whenever I hold it. I really don’t like shots at all since I always get scared of my wife giving me a shot every Saturday. Is the gel worth it? My voice was deep for 7 months until I had to lower my dosage and it’s ehh kind of deep. I’m kind of not getting much result due to what my doctor is doing so as of right now I’m changing clinics to someone who is professional and knows what I need and want. Should I change from shots to gel?
I hear that gel and shots really do not have a difference in how effective they are. They’re just different in applying it, as shots are either, weekly, bi weekly or even monthly depending on where you are. Some people say having shots can make them feel drained right before their next shot, while t gel is every day and kinda evens out the levels. Also you can’t really have skin to skin contact with someone for 4-6 hours after applying. The effectiveness usually depends on your genetics and how your body handles T. If you’re scared of needles it probably wouldn’t hurt to try Gel. I’m thinking of getting gel, as I don’t have a partner anyway to worry about skin to skin contact (if I ever do in the future I’ll think of injections) but I’m nervous about having to do the shots myself so maybe if I get a partner one day I would ask if they could do it too. I understand the anxiety of doing it yourself and am having an appointment today for t.
This is a dumb question, but I'm about to start tesosterone that is applied to the skin instead of the muscular injection. Can it cause you to grow facial hair? And can it deepen your voice like normal HRT does, or is the side effects completely different. If so, do you know the side effects. I asked the doctor if it deepened the voice, and he said no, but he said it does affect facial hair. But when he said it doesn't affect your voice, that's what threw me off, so I'm wondering from someone who's on it themselves what they've experienced personally.
@@XSpiritz-z not dumb at all! testosterone gel like the one I’m using can affect your voice. It also affects body fat redistribution and can cause hot flashes, oily skin (acne) and after some time, can stop menstruation. It also causes bottom growth. Changes may be slower depending on the dose. This is all depending on if you are FTM. It’s different if you are born male. Hope this helps!
So ive just started t and i work where they dont know im trans. Im stealth so they address me as male. Basically they will wonder why it looks like im finally going through puberty (at 21 lol), and im wondering if you have experience/advice on how to come out? I feel that if i don't tell someone, they'll probabaly ask anyways.
Ryan, why did u switch to gel from t-shot. Is it because the aggression? Your afraid of needles? Can you please make a video about the reason why you’re switching from shots to gel. Because my md is trying to switch me to gel due to aggression
I do one arm and then the other for my other pump hoping that’s ok I do 2 pumps altogether and one pump on one arm one pump on the other I didn’t know you put it on one arm and alternate .. hoping I’m doing it ok
My test was low in blood test I'll be starting today not trans just a 32 year old man with low T getting a MRI next week to make sure I don't have a patoitry tumor that is causing my hormon imbalance
How come you don't put it on both arms two pumps each arm because the gel I use tells me to only use it on the upper part of my arm and shoulder on both
I’ve been on Injections for a year and got my gel today, hopefully I can do it well in the morning when I take a shower 😭 I hope is not messy :( at least I start with 1 pump….
@ScottHendrix-yz3du yeah I’ve been on it ever since, but it’s a bit messy and the prices have gone up on the pharmacies which suck, insurance won’t cover it and some places don’t even accept good rx because is a “controlled substance” Even if it’s slower and an everyday thing… it helps me not freak out about having to inject :/
I know this video is 4 years old but does anyone know how long you have to wait until you could put on long sleeve clothes after applying T gel? Thinking of switching from injections to gel after top surgery.
The gels suck. They give you inconsistent levels because the gel absorption rate can never be the same each time you apply it. It's worse than doing test cyp/enan injections every two weeks (way too long in between shots-2x/week is ideal if using cypionate or enanthate). If you don't like administering your shots you should switch to test undecanoate which you can inject once every two weeks. Also, don't use those giant skewers of a needle and switch to insulin needles. I'm a young male on TRT who was terrified of needles to the point I had to go to my doctor to get my T shots, but I've been doing them myself for years without issue after learning that the giant 23 gauge needles aren't necessary.
If you don't believe me ask your doctor to draw labs every day for a week, at the same time and same duration after applying the gel so there are no external variations. You'll see that your T level varies SO much on the gel compared to injections.
Lacey Sanchez oh its forever. This is the less invasive method so if its gonna be forever it might as well be like this. Unless the person dont mind being injecting T all their lives.
Hey there I hope this isn't offensive but you were born female then transitioned? Reason I'm asking is because I'd like to know if the gel is the only testosterone treatment your used in your transition.
Not offended at all. Yeah, I’m pretty public about my transition. I used IM injections initially when I first started hormones and then switched to gel after a few years
this might be a stupid question and sorry if it is, but instead of doing 4 pumps each time and alternating arms every day, couldn’t you do two pumps on both arms every day? i feel like it would be easier since you don’t have to remember which arm you did last and you’re still getting the same dose in your system? hope you can answer this question!!
Ryan Jacobs Flores ok cool, i’m sure there’s a good reason for it then. thanks for answering, i was just really curious! so cool to see how your journey is going so far!👍🏼
I My sisters bf is a nurse, he said that i could probably grow facial hair faster if i put a lil bit on my jaw/face 😳 have you had any experience with this? (I'm 17 and starting T with gel in October!!!! i can't wait 😭😭😭😭)
it's not something you should really apply anywhere except shoulders or stomach :/ but minoxidil is something you could put directly on your face to do that!

It also affects body fat redistribution and can cause hot flashes, oily skin (acne) and after some time, can stop menstruation. It also causes bottom growth. Changes may be slower depending on the dose. This is all depending on if you are FTM. It’s different if you are born male. Hope this helps!
How fast does it work in comparison to injections? Also to get to where you are in this video - how many bottles did you go through?
He used injections first, than switched to gel. Injections give you faster results.
Thank god i found u in youtube recommended section 😍😍 new subscriber here😘
So ive just started t and i work where they dont know im trans. Im stealth so they address me as male. Basically they will wonder why it looks like im finally going through puberty (at 21 lol), and im wondering if you have experience/advice on how to come out? I feel that if i don't tell someone, they'll probabaly ask anyways.
My doctor prescribed T gel cause my T levels were too low, starting tomorrow.
Cool vid!! Very anxious haven't got close to starting T but was really stressed about patches, shots or gel.
Ryan, why did u switch to gel from t-shot. Is it because the aggression? Your afraid of needles? Can you please make a video about the reason why you’re switching from shots to gel. Because my md is trying to switch me to gel due to aggression
have you always used gel as your mode of administration, or have you ever used shots?
@@luckyjay9562 I started out with IM injections
love youuu!!!
Do more video 😩and keep up the good work
is androgel readily available on pharmacies or any drug stores? does it require doctors prescription? tnks for the answer!
after putting it on how long should you wait before workout but I have a home gym so no one would be around me
I do one arm and then the other for my other pump hoping that’s ok I do 2 pumps altogether and one pump on one arm one pump on the other I didn’t know you put it on one arm and alternate .. hoping I’m doing it ok
I’m so very proud of you wow
You look amazing bro.
My test was low in blood test I'll be starting today not trans just a 32 year old man with low T getting a MRI next week to make sure I don't have a patoitry tumor that is causing my hormon imbalance
Bro any notice in changes in your life after doing this testogel do u feel more energy, better mood, starting mine today was curious
How come you don't put it on both arms two pumps each arm because the gel I use tells me to only use it on the upper part of my arm and shoulder on both
Really stupid question time: does the gel have any sensation like pain or something else? I know very little about this, sorry
Kind of like a burning in the muscles if you're using it to work out
@@69xxmiiikexx86 thank you!~
I’ve been on Injections for a year and got my gel today, hopefully I can do it well in the morning when I take a shower 😭 I hope is not messy :( at least I start with 1 pump….
@ScottHendrix-yz3du yeah I’ve been on it ever since, but it’s a bit messy and the prices have gone up on the pharmacies which suck, insurance won’t cover it and some places don’t even accept good rx because is a “controlled substance”
Even if it’s slower and an everyday thing… it helps me not freak out about having to inject :/
I know this video is 4 years old but does anyone know how long you have to wait until you could put on long sleeve clothes after applying T gel? Thinking of switching from injections to gel after top surgery.
Thanks man!! Needed this!
I've heard rubbing lotion on an hour after applying helps with absorption. Have you tried that out?
Does the sight get kinda dry and noticeable like white and powdery.. kinda hard to explain.. but any help with that?
Robert A. Lofgren Jr. Okay I’ll talk to my doctor about it. Thanks.
Just started T Gel. Why not put two pumps on each shoulder? I put one on each. Is there any contraindications?
How long do you have to take testosterone for is it forever or is there a stopping point!
Lacey Sanchez oh its forever. This is the less invasive method so if its gonna be forever it might as well be like this. Unless the person dont mind being injecting T all their lives.
Lee S. Reyes Thank you for replying
Why does he need to inject testosterone? Is he a "she" before??
Daryl Pingol He is a transgender man. Which means that he was born female but identified as a man so he transitioned into one physically.
Mainly because she is a girl that does not produce testosterone......... but yes.
What are the side-effects of testosterone gel. How long can we use this. Can we have children when we r on trt. Pls reply
Thank you so much!
May we ask why you’ve switch to gel from shots? Do shots messes up with your mood peak?
My Testosterone level is 1.23 ng/ml, what
to do brother?
Hey there I hope this isn't offensive but you were born female then transitioned? Reason I'm asking is because I'd like to know if the gel is the only testosterone treatment your used in your transition.
Not offended at all. Yeah, I’m pretty public about my transition. I used IM injections initially when I first started hormones and then switched to gel after a few years
@@RyanJacobsFlores ok cool thank you
this might be a stupid question and sorry if it is, but instead of doing 4 pumps each time and alternating arms every day, couldn’t you do two pumps on both arms every day? i feel like it would be easier since you don’t have to remember which arm you did last and you’re still getting the same dose in your system? hope you can answer this question!!
Natalia H. Not sure why, it’s just how the nurse told me to apply it.
Ryan Jacobs Flores ok cool, i’m sure there’s a good reason for it then. thanks for answering, i was just really curious! so cool to see how your journey is going so far!👍🏼
I got two questions, #1. Can you still put the testosterone gel on? Do you have to switch off on arms?
I
My sisters bf is a nurse, he said that i could probably grow facial hair faster if i put a lil bit on my jaw/face 😳 have you had any experience with this? (I'm 17 and starting T with gel in October!!!! i can't wait 😭😭😭😭)
it's not something you should really apply anywhere except shoulders or stomach :/ but minoxidil is something you could put directly on your face to do that!
@@YelenaMaher oh dope. thanks for the info!
What is the name of testosteron gel and how much miligrams is in one dose? I have in my country TESTAVAN and 1 dose is 23mg. I use two dose a day.
Is this good for the voice changing also?
You should also post a video on your post-op update top surgery :)
