Honestly, Indian travel channels always do a much better job of capturing the essence of Sri Lanka compared to their western counterparts. We probably think alike. Hope Sri Lanka becomes an interesting destination for Indians while still remaining somewhat homely.

Hi, I got the permit to fly my drone but in the conditions it is written that I need to get in touch with the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters to obtain two hours prior permission. It is also mentioned that I need to inform and obtain necessary approval from the local Police Station prior to the commencement of Drone operation. Did you do all this before operating your drone?

Very informative video. Which drone did you use? The drone categories are a bit unusual with limitation being 200 gm rather than 250 gm like majority of places. Did you face any problems in getting the permission due to this ?
Hi, we used a DJI mini 3 pro but there was no in person pilot registration required. We gave the model no and serial no of the drone during registration and the places and time we would be operating the drone and they gave approval after making the payment.

We loved the southern/ south western coast - especially Beaches in Mirissa and Unawatuna.

Hello. Fuel is extra. Basically there was some amount of fuel when we got the car and we had to fill it to the same level when we gave it back.
