Richie, I really dig the 4th chords as the chord melody! Nice modern sound and it's an easy fingering to get to those single note lines! Thanks for your knowledge and playing!
Want to thank you again for the Wes solo of Satin Doll. You not only learn a solo, but because of the finger movement required, it's a great lesson in being careful. Too many big leaps in it are ready to mess you up with missed notes, or blurred lines. So it teaches you to be more conscious of everything. There are days when it's almost perfect, maybe the next day, falls apart, don't play an hour after eating....
nice channel, would you mind enlighten us on how to approach something more like Matt Dennis´Angel Eyes?, or this other song Black Coffee by I dunno who but kinda feels blues as well but weird
@@hycus4292 It can't be a Gm11 because you can't have an 11 in the lowest voice. Furthermore the next note in the chord I'm playing is an Eb which is not the b3 of G, etc. Your analysis (11-X-b3-5-b7-X) of a m11 voicing is not a feasible m11 inversion. I'm playing C, Eb, Bb, D, F which is 1-b3-b7-9-11 . There is no way to view this as a Gm11.We could possibly view it as an inverted G7sus4 chord but the presence of the Eb eliminates even that possibility. Hope this clears up any confusion. :)

Thanks! 4th chords are easy on guitar but difficult on piano. More guitarists should take advantage of them...
I think this arrangement is one of my favorites. Modern, rich, yet understated, really nice...! Thank You. B-)
Nice choices for the minor blues series.
Nice! Thanks Richie!!
5:30 I love this arrangement -

❤good stuff
1:28 like the phrasing here - great solo
Thanks...much appreciated!

Very nice, what exactly is the turnaround Richie, always been a mystery to me. Thank you
Thanks! Are you asking in the context of this tune? If so I don't think there is one.
Is that a Fender Daquisto? I used to have one of those. Cool man
No, it's a Peerless Jazz City...much cheaper :)
@@RichieZellon Sounds great!
There are similarities to Recorda Me (e.g., the repeated bass line) !
I bought your package. Just to be clear, the PDFs only contain the melody section, not the following cool “impro” sections.
👍🏼
Walking bass plays fourths, so this tune can be count as 6/4 or 3/4
Every member of your band look strangely familiar... 😂
my twin brothers...nyuk,nyuk!
😅 that looks complicated🔥🤦🏾♂️
6/4 not 6/8
Tell that to Wayne Shorter...
Attention, the "Chord Police" detected a little mistake @9:29: It's a Gm11 (not Cm11) ;-)
Lol... de-fund the chord police !
You detected wrong...it's a Cm11 ....Check again: C, Eb, Bb, D, F !!!
The "chord police" needs to revise their basic theory!
@@RichieZellon OK, you are right, but its also a Gm11 chord (11-X-b3-5-b7-X) isn't it ?

Not that interesting. Halfway through and the lesson hasn't even started yet. Did not care for this one.
