@@MagicalLisp depends who you know, how many pieces your having done, etc.. I used to get my Honda valve covers done for 40 but I blasted them myself and prepped everything
Firstly, I expect Jism-o Spec stickers within a month. Second, I say get crazy with the colors on the civic underbody/chassis/engine and then you can go understated on the body color. Insane progress though. Keep it up guys
No Jimmy you gotta flex how much work you put in to this thing and powder coat it a noticeable color. And yea I broke my windshield once taking a wiper arm off like that.
Jimmy dont stress over children on the internet sitting in the comfort of their home telling you when the car should be finished and how it should be done, from what i have seen the work has been top notch and time has been well spent on each peace on all your cars. I think you're right, I quite like the idea of the sub-frame being a gunmetal color. Its subtle enough to not be tacky, but different enough to grab the eye a bit while looking intentional. To me this car is all about intention. Everything thought over, everything looked at and studied. It all looks careful and intentional. Feels like the way to go! Pumped for this though.
Yo Jimmy honestly time lapses aren’t as bad as you make them seem. In most cases I’d rather see a time lapse of work being done than seeing someone just talking on camera. I feel like if someone is just gonna talk on camera I’d rather read that. Some of these other youTubers ramble on way too much but you do an excellent job of keeping your videos focused on the projects with the right amount of dialogue.
I’m glad b-hall is always there to give you guys a dose of reality when working on cars. Even if it’s little things like beating tf outta your wiper arm to get it off. 👍🏻
Don’t sweat about the speed of the build. The process and the build details are half of the joy when it comes to something this custom. Keep it Jismo spec!
I say go crazy bright with the suspension components. Lot of your after market companies usually have some type of fancy bright colors on their parts. Keep up the good work
We trust you Jimmy! Just trying to put our own input in cause we all think we are there with you, on these crazy awesome builds! BTW Brian is just a superb bodyman. I'm just a regular mechanical tech and it's so cool to see his ideas and finished products. He's literally teaching bodywork techniques, so cool :D Very impressed!
For anyone interested, GKTech sell super nice plates to box in the front support, they have dimple die holes and fit perfectly, i used them when i made my diy powerbrace
Shoutout to Jimmy O, building cars because he fucking loves building cars, not for e fame, not for followers or take photos, just because the goddess of a beautiful bloke just enjoys building cars.
Check out the civic rear diffusers that you cut into the rear bumper and helps air escape out of these big holes that you can see the rear assembly without a full bumper cut.
What’s up jumbo !!! You are a big inspiration to me and many other car vlogger! You guys have inspired me to start my own channel! I’m working on a s13 hatch !! Thank you so much !!!
Gm has a cool underhood fuse block on the 14-18 trucks. It has handles you fold up. as you do that you pull and it disconnects. Besides that one 13mm nut for the power cable.
I think you guys should go crazy underneath like 326 power stuff, you guys should also utilize a lot of the factory harness and run stock interior, maybe even get the heater working and stock cluster, a cheap head unit and some door speakers too.
Make sure to test fit that jizmo bar, when you boxed it in, it could of tweaked it from the heat , I made one the same way and it didn't fit when i put it back in after painting.
powder coat color suggestions. I have used a "chrome" or "black chrome" that worked pretty well but it also needs a clear powder coat over it to give it the depth and proper protection. I have also seen copper powder coat that looks pretty good. Maybe Gold with a lot of flake border line bass boat flake.....
@Jimmy Oakes honestly as far as what color your gonna posder coat everything i would say it depends on what color the car is getting painted because come colors just clas when theyre put together and other go together perfectly
Jimmy, hope you see this, maybe grab some Ulterior Motives metal fender flairs and have B weld em on, move those rear arches back slightly to fit where the wheel is.
What's up Jimmy you should paint your subframe purple and gold with the same purple you have on your E36 and use the same color gold you have on your calipers from the civic it would look very good with the red
You should paint the subframe light grey with a weird metal flake like pink or something... because not a whole lot of colors go with red.... but grey goes with almost anything
Instead of a wrinkle color, do like a vein silver or bronze. Would look super classy under there and it doesn't always look dirty like some Metallics can look.
Do the whole car black with a spoon yellow secondary. All the subframe bits, calipers, engine bay bits in yellow and the body in black. Would look unreal
I hope he realizes that part is going to be forever known as the "Jismo" bracket.
jizzmo*
Need some Jismo old logo stickers
How much does powder coating cost
@@MagicalLisp depends who you know, how many pieces your having done, etc.. I used to get my Honda valve covers done for 40 but I blasted them myself and prepped everything
Alternatively Fizmo, the same way they make Fucci flip flops
Firstly, I expect Jism-o Spec stickers within a month. Second, I say get crazy with the colors on the civic underbody/chassis/engine and then you can go understated on the body color. Insane progress though. Keep it up guys
Petition to keep it named the *Jizmo Brace*
Yes
Dude fabricates a whole new car
''I'm really nervous about making a power brace'' lmao
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro...
Jimmy do a metal flake black subframe with "Honda type R" red color on the rear diff. That would stand out nicely on the civic.
No to the red diff..
Could have said "Ji-mo" or "Jimbo" but no, he said "Jizmo."
Lol
When you look under the back of a normal civic they always have those bright coloured subframe braces. So I would do it a bright colour to mimic that
No Jimmy you gotta flex how much work you put in to this thing and powder coat it a noticeable color.

One of the things I appreciate about Jimmy, says something goofy as hell and doesn't edit it out.

Jimmy, I like this project, don't rush it, take as long as you need to do it right. There are no deadlines on youtube.
I like this format with timelapses and random rambling so no stressing!
This old guy has faith in y'all, looking great!
Don’t rush, it’s all looking great and love the attention to detail!
What did we do to deserve "Jizzmo" and "lifes just about fillin holes" in the same video?? #blessed
Doesn't matter how long it takes, we love the videos!
Always trust in jimmy there’s always a plan. I love all the little details jimmy pays attention too. Flawless.
Hands down my favorite RUclips. Keep up the good work my guy

With the amount of work y’all have in Nissonda, it deserves a proper paint n tuck!
Black with heavy metal flake. Like a bass boat on the sub frames. Black with a touch of flash!

7:35 we had e36 in finland with civic's rear bumper on it.... somewhere in early 2000's
Raptor line the interior, berliner you can do at your shop in any color and wont have to worry about scratching it
bright colour for the parts, keeping the rest of the car understated (paint ext., wheels etc.)
13:00 the less violent option is to give it cpr, then keep it pushed down while you lift it off the stud if you get me
So hype for this car to be done
Also I love Brian but he needs to shave a bit loool
Jismo filling holes for life 🤣🤣🤣
Idk why but your timelapse are soothing
Were rolling with Jizmo, take it like a man jimmy 🤙
Black rear subframe, but pull the diff cover and powder coat that a neon yellow or green or do a red to match the car
Silver rainbow metal flake ! And Jismonda stickers
The heavy gold flake under black looks dope on Taylor's miata, would deff be a good look under the civic
Jimmy you should try the downstar firewall plug kit. It will save you some time and its pre cut for all the holes on the firewall.
I think you guys should go crazy underneath like 326 power stuff, you guys should also utilize a lot of the factory harness and run stock interior, maybe even get the heater working and stock cluster, a cheap head unit and some door speakers too.
Full black underbody, gunmetal sub frames, red bushes
Make sure to test fit that jizmo bar, when you boxed it in, it could of tweaked it from the heat , I made one the same way and it didn't fit when i put it back in after painting.
That weld through primer makes me happy
darker gold would look pretty cool on the subframe
Take as long as you need. This thing is so dope!

I think its great the Weener finger was used to make to jismo brace.
Nothings better than white for subframe and arms!
Since you're going to all the effort powder coating the sub frame I would also do the Knuckles
12:32 Barry from juicebox would be proud of you Jimmy
...."fk off" ... ;)
Jimmy, hope you see this, maybe grab some Ulterior Motives metal fender flairs and have B weld em on, move those rear arches back slightly to fit where the wheel is.
God I would love to buy this car off you one day. You guys are doing unreal work🔥
What's up Jimmy you should paint your subframe purple and gold with the same purple you have on your E36 and use the same color gold you have on your calipers from the civic it would look very good with the red
Black subframe and red diff cover is the way to go!
You should definitely go crazy with all the colours on the rear subframe and stuff to make it stand out, go for bright colours YO
Do like a brushed aluminum color scheme for rear end. Sticks out but it’s subtle enough
Gold subframes. Fits with brake calipers 😎👌
can’t wait to see how you guys button up the interior
Use the pearl i sent you!! On the sub frame or somewhere on the civic
Loving it Jimmy take your time, it is looking great
Sub frames bright white!! Or a colour to match the wheels!
You should paint the subframe light grey with a weird metal flake like pink or something... because not a whole lot of colors go with red.... but grey goes with almost anything
I think black or gunmetal gray subframes would look pretty awesome with a dark gold diff cover
You should come to Minnesota, we’ll show you a thing or two about rust
Instead of a wrinkle color, do like a vein silver or bronze. Would look super classy under there and it doesn't always look dirty like some Metallics can look.
If you dont know what "vein" is do a quick google on "vein powder coat" and you'll see why this is my opinion
Can end up lookin like bbq..or cheap patio chairs tho
Darker gold, yellow, bright bronze
You should paint the diffcover in a dark purple and the subframe in a nice black
Make it your yellow car that you’ve been wanting and put Type RWD stickers on it 😂
Smart tbh
That’s what I was saying but I said like spoon. Jdm yellow for sure
No it would look like trevors do a diffrent car yellow
Do the whole car black with a spoon yellow secondary. All the subframe bits, calipers, engine bay bits in yellow and the body in black. Would look unreal
Loving the attention to detail boys!! Keep it up, we love the build.

Maac Petzol magic of the internet.....
Bright yellow subframe!!
Match the caliper color, and hell yeah about the Jismo brace!
I like the gold accent color. Maybe like a flat gold so it’s a subtle pop.
Ain’t wrong about the rust my civics definitely see. Better days. I think it’s time for a new one especially the left rear rockers super bad.
I think youve put enough work into this car to be a little extra on the subframe. Imo. I think a silver ish color would look fire
Paint all the rear subframe 70s racing gold and the diff in gloss white.
Gun metal gray with aqua flake! I like the E36 bumper on nisshonda
Black with gold flake wud look sick
If it’s available, the bright yellow Honda used on the integra type-R with red bushings.
All Black with Polished Diff Cover and anodized hardware. Imagine that!
I'm not in a rush take your time
Roll cage will make it look so sick
I needed that Jimm-O garage fix, I was jonesin hard.
definitely make the subframe black with a red diff cover to match the car
When nissanda is done the the lockdown is over you need to drift with herts k24 240
Lol I’m so impatient I just wanna see this thing done
