That's a hot air intake. Also that heat shield is gonna melt the front of your valve cover, cover and it'll severely shorten the life the valve cover gasket if it's not already brittle and ready to crack. You're better off adding heat shield to the underside of the hood below the plastic hood scoop.
Personally on mine the intake temps have been perfectly fine right around or below outside temperatures and yeah the heat shield is a bit janky lol I haven’t had any issues yet but I’ll keep that in mind thanks !

This bracket is actually off my old m7 oil catch can that I had BUT you can make your own bracket with some metal drill a couple of holes (tiny ones) and then get a screw and washer to hold it into place
Yes the performance mods def make the car much faster .. 0-60 not sure stock I believe they do 6.3 seconds so right now maybe somewhere in the mid to high 5s not 100% sure

The m7 catch can has no baffles so I decided to switch the setup with a baffled can which separates the oil particles better than a can that does not..and also the can I have now has a little dipstick that shows me the level of oil in the can so I know when to dump it I’m out
It depends on a stock turbo you’re looking at around 250ish depending on what bigger turbo you do it can get over 300hp with all supporting mods and such
If you’re looking for 400 you’re going to need to put a lot of $$ in the car.. fully built engine bigger turbo etc... def would be a fun car if you went to a setup for 400+
Eh it’s probably somewhere around 250-260 hp and 270-280 torque and that’s at the crank not sure what it is to the wheels, my guess is somewhere around 215-220 hp and 260ish torque to the wheels ..never dynoed the car unfortunately haha
Depends, if you’re into performance I def recommend doing something like then intake and exhaust first. But if you like the whole low and slammed suspension like then do your preference of lowered suspension with a nice set of wheels!

I’ll be honest the least of my worries is inspection haha technically the only thing you can’t pass with is the downpipe but a quick swap to the stock downpipe and it’ll pass as long as there’s no codes. But fortunately I have my ways for inspection so me personally I’m ok haha

Def depends what you’re buying tbh and a lot of times the brand name items are just non brand items with a logo and forums also have people who have tested off brand vs brand name stuff with similar results it really depends though haha

Tbh I had 0 issues with the install it actually went very smooth everything fit nicely with enough room..it fits snug but if you have a friend help you on the opposite side it should be easy work

So the support bars I’m not sure what size they are BUT they are adjustable so you are able to adjust them to size I had to adjust these bit but they fit absolutely 100% perfect in the car you can make them longer or shorter and adjust them till you need

@@rudycat dude no joke thats kind of weird lol because i only have a stage 1 too and the flames are easy too shoot. unless only thing i can think of is maybe you have an exhaust leak at the downpipe or by the flex pipe not allowing them to escape from the back
You're missing one the most important upgrades you will ever do to a Mini, an upgraded rear sway bar, l have the Alta 22mm Adjustable Rear Sway bar and I'll tell you, it feels like my Mini is riding on rails. Forgot, I have a 2012 MCS.
@@DArias Hey I learned the hard way. Before I had a Nissan 240sx for twenty three years. I restored it to all is glory and it snowed two feet and my garage fell on it. Insurance would not cover it and it was seven thousand dollars worth of damage to the car. Two thousand for the truck. So I got the Cooper. Well in the Cooper a deer hit me. 3000 dollars worth of damage. A car is a black hole just put gas and oil in them and go. Make shure you haves some good jams to ride down the road.

What year mini do you have ? These bumpers are from the 11+ minis that came with the n18 engine. Basically we’re a face lift if you wanna call it that

How was the Harness bar install? Keep getting mixed reviews on the cipher auto as far as fitting in the r56.

What are the benefits you've noticed from the cold air intake?
Personally just sounds really good more induction Noise when getting into boost and the throttle response becomes better
