The juxtaposition of the exact same loud, humorous spanking clip and then the long, uncomfortable clip of Junior sitting in silence after being threatened with incoming violence hits amazingly hard
I grew up with Veggietales and still have a strong attachment to it, but this is just too accurate even if this wasn’t the kind of experience I had growing up.
veggietales is like. the only religious thing that sticks with us who grew up in christian families but aren't religious ourselves. i find that very interesting
@@Spiderman-wt8hb the creators of veggietales are actually pretty based people and a lot of the episodes are actually well written in terms of their comedy, so i have a fondness for it too. the esther episode is probably my favorite because its them dedicating time to a wholly jewish story, which shows that they genuinely do respect others of different faith and really are model christians in a very off model world. phil vischer has also outright hinted that the characters could be trans if you wanted lmao
Feel the same. Really appreciate that it was the only religious media I was exposed to since it actually has a sense of humor and character to it and more often than not did it’s morals well. My parents surprisingly didn’t force it onto me since they were open with what I could watch and I simply just grew attached to it on my own.
I'm a Christian who grew up on VeggieTales and wasn't spanked. This was still HILARIOUS! I don't know why but the jump of the first loud part made my throat jump. Please have a loud warning next time! Thanks.
Kinda felt the quiet part where Junior is in bed real hard. A broken home can fuck up your sleep schedule for life.
This is the YTP equivalent to vent art
This was scarily accurate but yet I’m laughing at it

What a lovely normal family Junior has!
This brings back memories of the good ole days [WOODCHIPPER NOISES]

Speaking from experience, this is correct

Fred Fuckstone has replaced all the Veggietales parents
I can attest
I shouldn't be laughing at this, but I am, laughing at it. I guess that's the magic of Dew.
its okay, i was laughing like an idiot while i made this and this is work is personal
@@dew40947odd question to ask, but what do you feel about Veggietales. I still have a fondness for it even if im not religious anymore.

@@dew40947 We deserve more Christian/spiritual media like VeggieTales. Full stop.
