    Beautiful Kauai!!!
Our daughter & son inlaw said this is to celebrate our retirement since we, their Dad & I never really thought it was necessary (78 yrs combined service as nurses) and my 65th and their little brother Craiggy's 35th birthday lol special events too many! Thank you Maria and Cheng for the stress free travel arrangements, thank you 1 HOTEL Hanalei bay for the STUNNING room view upgrade celebration gift and most of all, we thank the good Lord because somehow we all made it this far in the seasons of life!

you did not really highlight any of the amenities there. doesn't seem like there was much to do in the actual resort. planning a trip with my family and just wondering how enjoyable it would be apart from the views and the beach

Hi there and thanks for your input! We were there for several days and enjoyed every moment there. This was mostly our first reactions, exploring the room and hotel grounds, and seeing the hotel's location in relation to Hanalei Bay. For us, location was important since we brought along our 65+ parents and brother with down's syndrome. We wanted them to experience and see Kauai's north shore, in addition to their stay at the hotel. We swam every night in their amazing pools and there were kids swimming and playing there everyday but it isn't as kid-elaborate as some of the other pool scenes in Poipu. Although we didn't get to use their Fitness facilities, we walked through it and it was pretty amazing, especially for a hotel. My husband and I would have liked to and will probably the next time we go. Their spa services also looked amazing but they weren't services we used. Food, food quality, customer service, and sustainability practices are definitely top-notch and helpful in enhancing our family's experience. It's very close to Limahuli Garden Preserve, Princeville Shopping Center, Haena State Park, Kilauea Lighthouse and Fishmarket, Anini Beach, and Ching Young Village - all locations we frequented during our stay. We would definitely stay again! Hope that helps :)
