Oh, yeah: better that one mechanic say "I don't know what it does" than lie and say it checks your alignment.

The whole thing was a mess, like I've never had such issues from a service department. The one thing that had me rolling was when they said we owed them money for the repair and alignment....I'm like no I don't lol that's a warranty issue. And the service manager told the service advisor Clay the same thing and didn't understand why he was trying to charge us. I wish I would've read the reviews on their service department before purchasing there.

Here is what I have to say about Clay. The only reason why vehicles typically veer to the right is because of road crown. Where there is no crown the toe adjustment should be able to either compensate or leave the vehicle with a naturally straight alignment which usually results in a veeeeeery slight rightward drift. Very slight! 😊

Exactly, he tried convincing me that having to keep my steering wheel at a very noticeable tilt while driving was normal 🙄 I think it's safe to say hes not a car guy !!!

@@AdaKiGainesI really appreciate you taking out time to elaborate on the situation! I have done 4 wheel alignments in my garage and having the steering wheel straight is a big deal, especially on new cars. Imagine it being off-center and how the wheels would be turned in the rear view camera! 😮

@@losingmyfavoritegame8752 funny you mention that because the camera has lines and that was one thing that also showed how off it was.

A car that is properly aligned will compensate for a 1.5 deg road crown. Which is the standard road crown.. So if your car veers is needs a front end alignment.

@@cire_arts yes this is what we repeatedly told them, I used to be a mechanic in the army and I've worked on cars since my teen years so I was very familiar with what I was talking about. But as usual they acted like because I was a female that I was stupid and knew nothing.
