Very professional mod. I can't wait to check it out. I will never understand why CA didn't take the time to do interfaces like this for the original game. I really expected they would do this level of detail by default but they never did. Still I am grateful to CA for making the game flexible enough so that mods could do it. Well done mod devs, it looks fantastic.
*Hey everyone, there's a few things I wanna say real quick:* *1) Thank you guys for the love and support for the Ancient Empires Mod. I'm not part of the team, just a YTber, but I have been working with them to crank content out pre-release style. I know they appreciate all of the love you guys have been giving them as well.* *2) Yes, I made a mistake when talking about the Achaean/Akaian League. I do truly apologize. But rather than get salty and scream and call people retards, be constructive in your comments and understanding that I do not have in-depth history knowledge of every single faction in this game; that's what the devs are for. They know what they are doing, so if something in terms of spelling/borders etc seems off, I'm very positive they have a reason.* *3) HERE'S THE AZTEC MOD:* www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?738396-Total-War-Aztec-Graphics-Campaign-Pack-Edition-(-Released-23-August-) *It will also be in the description. I was not able to finish the description because I got pulled away as the video was loading. It is gorgeous guys, so I recommend you get it.* *Thanks again guys and be on the lookout for the release of the game, you can bet I'll be covering it!* *Havoc*
As i already said, this mod looks absolutely fantastic!! i bought Attila and really can wait for the campaign to be released!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Looks great, the factions are exciting (Aetolian & Akaian Leagues for example over the silliness of Sparta, Epirus and Athens). Thought they'd add more settlements however. I remember playing RSII for the first time and there were so many more settlements added which made the game really good, felt like a real world with more towns / cities. Probably can't now due to the province system.
Ya I believe that's what's holding them back. I saw in a comment they MIGHT be able to get out of that 6 building limit per city though. But that'd be WAY down the line.
Hey, thanks for the reply! How do you mean, so all the towns / cities in each province can have 6 builds not just the capital? That'd be cool, because you only need to look at this map: www.ancient.eu/map_pelagios/ To see the extent of the ancient world... perhaps having a function like Empire / Nap / Shogun2 (also I think) where you can demand surrender to a town would be a good way to avoid siege battles. Hannibal had most of Southern Italy open the gates to him, both for political reasons and also because they couldn't endure a siege. I guess I just thought that, by now, considering how many TW games there are and how long it's been running CA would be doing this in vanilla releases and we shouldn't have to rely on such amazing content from modders who don't even get paid for it, it's such a shame.
James Spencer more like how Rome, medieval 2, empire, those games had several building slots in each city. I think like 8-10? So you could build more buildings per city rather than the vanilla 6 in the capital and 4 in the minor regions
HForHavoc Ah ok yeah I get that... Empire was really cool how, say for example England was essentially one province for Britain; but towns could emerge and you'd develop them... I got excited when Manchester became a town (where I'm from); I always ensured it became a mill or industrial building as we were a famous city during the 19th century industrial revolution. Also if you maxed taxes then the population wouldn't grow and then towns would stop developing, hurting you in the long run. Even Rome: Total War had an active population system. So you couldn't spam an army from one city as it would hinder its development.
I wish we could do these things, but alas we are still restricted by Attila's system. Tempted to add some smaller towns and such to the map that are just battle maps if I can actually get terry (campaign editor) to work
i think its good that the greek states are not sparated because the space is not big enough.. :-) but i understand that guys which want to have this different units of these states playable.. when i have to compare the roster of rome and then with these hellenic leagues its an big opposite... its only a thinking.. maybe if its possible (not for the first releases but later when the other important stuff is done) to add for each greek state in that league an sortiment of thureophoroi, phalangites and others to that standard units of leagues like the akaien or aetolian ones..
Petellius Cerialis awesome but i see u guys have "media atrepotis" or something is that The Medians? Or are they diffrent from the reguler Median empire
One correction, The DACIan(getae) Falx weapon was held the other way around, not like a Katana. The ideea was to pierce with the tip the Armour of heavy infantry, please remedy that, they look like Balkan samurai .
finally i can play as Dacian, i always wanted to play starting in my natal lands without the huge disadvantage of having Huns, Russians, Ottomans, Romans and what'so ever at my borders this is quality mod
Why can't the other armies of the AI do that? I mean there is a fully functional AI working as well, so if you conquer a Arveni settlement, the arveni will react, etc. I mean that's all there isn't it?
I hope they incorporate historically accurate ideas from Divide et impera and Fall of the Eagles. Oh, and tweaks to formation behavior and entity mass variety to make certain units in certain formations to not break formation animation upon contact with charges, like Roman heavy infantry in defensive testudo or shieldwall.
So why did they put the Bactrian kingdom in the "Eastern" section? Historically, it was a kingdom of Macedonian descendants(Generals of Alexander) which was in fact a Hellenic kingdom. Besides that, can't wait to play it!!! :DD
Bah. I was so excited when I saw the name of this video. I had no idea Ancient Empire was a mod for Atilla, and was sincerely hoping this was the next full release from the Total War series. I've been waiting for a decade or more to see a pre-Roman game, set between maybe 2000 and 500 BCE and covering the early civilizations of the era. I just want to murder some Hittites or something, mang.
It's funny how modders are able to make effectively a whole new game that is a million times better than anything creative assembly could make with their multi million dollar budget.
Great video and by the looks of it a great mod. I just purchased Attila and would like to know if a functioning campaign version is out, and if not whether this is coming in the near future. thank you
And to not forget, keep up the great work! That goes both to the team that seems to be doing substantially good moding and to the youtuber that promotes the game. The only thing i am not so sure it stands right, is the footwear of the avatars of the hellenic factions, as at the time the used to wear sandals
Some of the writing is hard to see on the UI that has a lighter colour. 19:20 the top center bar is very difficult to see for example; They can just change the colour of the text i suppose
What do you mean adding Sparta using one of Attila's DLC campaigns? None of them are set in Greece. The Carthage UI really obscures the income and food info at the top. It's quite hard to see with all that brick and stone detail.
Achean League: Sicyon (original capital) Megalopolis (added by Philopeomen after he came from Crete with his mercenary units and conquered Sparta) Argos Sparta Athens Corinth Elis
It's from Epidemic Sound. It's free for me to download because I'm part of a RUclips partnership network. I'm not sure how much it would be outside of that!
only 2 question about the visuals, what's up with all the blue tress everywhere? and also the cities, they made all of the walled cities look kinda blocky
Blue trees are part of the Aztec mod. The Spring season has blooming trees. And the campaign/cities haven't been finished yet, so don't bank on it looking the same when it's finished.
a big thanks for the devs! i said somethings about the eastern factions but overal the game looks amazing! by the way i loved the way that u could choose from one of three roman families in rome total war(julie, scipi and brutus),it was great how each family was focusing on expanding in different parts of the map and then there was a civil war at the end.Is it possible to put it in this mod?
My great respect and congrats to the modders. I just allow me a little remark: the group "Berber and Arabian" should be renamed because Kingdom of Kush and Axum (and the Blemmyes) are not from berber or arabian origin. You could rename it as "Desert Kingdoms" for example, or (preferable) create 2 distinct groups (one for Kush, Axum and Blemmyes, and one for Massilia, Nabatae, Saba, Mauri and Gramantia).
Hey ! I've got the impression to wait for a new game or like the new season of game of thrones !!!! It is so long !!!!! But still can't wait for the release ! I hope it will be easy to install ! Thanks to you and as we say in french Courage !
I think historical speaking, Athens and Sparta were usually allied against each other. I think maybe Greek leagues would be led by the two most prominent Greek powers respectively
This mod looks pretty amazing, cannot for the life of me find any indication online of any even rough idea of when the campaign mod may be released? Can anyone shed some light on this or is it simply not known when this mod will be released?
What the hell is with the boots that the Greeks are wearing? I don't recall clothing like that existing during that time period, but eh, whatever I'm mostly excited to play in the campaign :3

Do you need any of the dlc's for Attila to play this mod
Nope, just vanilla Attila
awn i want to buy the 2014 Game pack but with this coming for atilla i surely aint buying that
hey man could u look up Nabis the Second of Sparta in 196 bc they actualy fought both Macedon and rome during the second Macedonian war
CA needs to hire some of these modders, they make it way better looking than the creaters of the game.
It's not like they created it from scratch tho.
I really wish they would've gone back even further in history. I still really want to expand Rome from a city state to an empire!
this is what Rome 2 should have been!1!
i hope it will be included in Rome 3 :)
that is a long time coming
ahhh nope, that isn't coming out in about 10 years, since ca said that aren't even working on med 3.
what about Attila's next sequel or something like that..?
Next Total War is almost certainly going to be China: Total War
My respect to all the modders involved in these great works, you truly do have a passion for the game, and it definitely does not go unnoticed.
glad to hear it, it means a lot
As i already said, this mod looks absolutely fantastic!! i bought Attila and really can wait for the campaign to be released!!! Keep up the good work!!!
I'm excited for it too! Hopefully it'll be finished soon!
Maaaaaaaaaayne!! :O this looks so good. This is basically the Rome II we've been waiting for :-D
man the character models for the different faction leaders look awesome!
Fantastic I have been w8 so long for a mod in Rome 2 that actually have a campaign!
Great work guys, I'm stoked to play this time period on the much better version of the engine that Attila use.
bro a special thanks for you and for the team who's working on this great mod . we re waiting anxiously to try it
Thanks dude!
That'd be cool, because you only need to look at this map: www.ancient.eu/map_pelagios/
To see the extent of the ancient world... perhaps having a function like Empire / Nap / Shogun2 (also I think) where you can demand surrender to a town would be a good way to avoid siege battles.

Tempted to add some smaller towns and such to the map that are just battle maps if I can actually get terry (campaign editor) to work
realistic city sizes. I still get hyped because of this one small detail in this awsome mod, lol.
Nader Shah Realistic city sizes would render them pixel-sized.
That's is definitely true. I meant to say I really like how a city is no longer the size of half a continent.
The day is ours!
It looks amazing! hard to wait for it 0,0 good work guys!
i think its good that the greek states are not sparated because the space is not big enough.. :-)
but i understand that guys which want to have this different units of these states playable..
when i have to compare the roster of rome and then with these hellenic leagues its an big opposite...
its only a thinking..
maybe if its possible (not for the first releases but later when the other important stuff is done) to add
for each greek state in that league an sortiment of thureophoroi, phalangites and others to
that standard units of leagues like the akaien or aetolian ones..
Thanks, very much appreciated. Very informative. Campaign , here I come.
Nice, thanks for the preview Havoc!
I am so excited for this, it looks fantastic!
will this ever be realesed?
Is there a way to donate to the creators of this mod. It just looks so fantastic and I wanna support these guys :).
we don't take donations
Petellius Cerialis Okay, atleast thank you for making this mod! Can't wait to play it :).
Petellius Cerialis will you guys release Median empire ?
Talip Zengin not sure actually I'd have to check if they're in. I think they are though, so unless I tell you otherwise take it as a yes
Petellius Cerialis awesome but i see u guys have "media atrepotis" or something is that The Medians? Or are they diffrent from the reguler Median empire
Oh my god. Oh my god. This mod is incredibile!!!
One correction, The DACIan(getae) Falx weapon was held the other way around, not like a Katana. The ideea was to pierce with the tip the Armour of heavy infantry, please remedy that, they look like Balkan samurai .
Submit it to the Ancient Empires page on their Total War Center section
excellent work mod guys. u did it better than the original. also thank you for making this video youtuber
No problem glad you enjoyed it!
Can you link these mods into the description please?
Yes Please link them!
Hasn't been released yet.
Torneko The Aztec and trees mod has...
The Macedonian Religion WAS, IS AND WILL BE GREEK!
finally i can play as Dacian, i always wanted to play starting in my natal lands without the huge disadvantage of having Huns, Russians, Ottomans, Romans and what'so ever at my borders
this is quality mod
I'm happy to see the inclusions of real African Empires! Can't wait to play as the powerful Kush empire.
Brilliant! Thanks man for the video, cannot wait to play it!!!!!!!!!!!
Do armies work in this version on the campaign?
What music are you using?
Is it possible to change the music?
armies work fine but only Rome can recruit
Why can't the other armies of the AI do that? I mean there is a fully functional AI working as well, so if you conquer a Arveni settlement, the arveni will react, etc. I mean that's all there isn't it?
because we haven't set the other factions yet
Ok thanks, maybe more videos will show it in the future.
I always wanted game that will be mix of Europa universalis and total war. is this game maybe?
More like the Divide and Conquer mod of Rome II
This is a total war game bud.
the best mix would be CK2 and total war, imagine that
Leonardo Rojas Bros we can do that shit but these companies want that righteous cash... it sucks, huh?
I doubt it Leo. A game like that would take 5000 hours to finish a single campaign.
So when can we expect to be able to play the Ancient Empires campaign?
+cameroncall007 hopefully no later than the end of the year ;)
Kush kingdom looks chilled
So why did they put the Bactrian kingdom in the "Eastern" section? Historically, it was a kingdom of Macedonian descendants(Generals of Alexander) which was in fact a Hellenic kingdom. Besides that, can't wait to play it!!! :DD
As in Pontus (kinda) its more just because of its geographical location and it does share a lot of persian and Indo-Graecian culture
Also the Hellenic slot is full
oh yeah, haha xD
Pontus had persian royal family and elite.
Well if they can make the Ethiopians Arab instead of Africans, I'm sure they can do that.
Apologies! The mod should be epic though, and will help bide the time for the next full release from Total War!
Would be nice to get back to something like AoE, playing as Assyria, Babylon, Susa, Hittite and Sumer
This brought a tear to my eye
When will the campaign version of the mod be released?
Still don't have a set date
It's funny how modders are able to make effectively a whole new game that is a million times better than anything creative assembly could make with their multi million dollar budget.
Best thing that has happened to attila. Factions are on point and alot of fun
There's no campaign currently. It's just custom battles. The campaign is coming out sometime this year.
Great we'll all be waiting for it!
Some of the writing is hard to see on the UI that has a lighter colour. 19:20 the top center bar is very difficult to see for example; They can just change the colour of the text i suppose
work in progress.
This look's gorgeous)
The only sad thing- greece is lacking so much(shame there is no way to edit campaign map)
What do you mean adding Sparta using one of Attila's DLC campaigns? None of them are set in Greece.
The Carthage UI really obscures the income and food info at the top. It's quite hard to see with all that brick and stone detail.
Neither of them have greece in??..... ah, hmm damn. We could try adding in a Rome 2 one, maybe
This will be what Rome should have been, i am hyped !
The Berber and Arabian models look beautiful especially the Kingdom of Kush who were once rulers of Egypt
People of Kush were not arabs or berbers.
Oh Lordy in so freaking hyped....loving the new map and city sizes.
Will Massalia be in the starting build as a playable?
Achean League: Sicyon (original capital) Megalopolis (added by Philopeomen after he came from Crete with his mercenary units and conquered Sparta) Argos Sparta Athens Corinth Elis
Hello MR. HForHavoc!I always enjoy you videos. anyway what music name play in 15:59? please tell me... :)
That one would be called
Battle Of The Falcons - Håkan Eriksson
Thanks for quick reply! but I don't know where this music in youtube or internet would you give me some rink? :)
It's from Epidemic Sound. It's free for me to download because I'm part of a RUclips partnership network. I'm not sure how much it would be outside of that!
player.epidemicsound.com/#/search/?search_query=battle+of+falcon I found it! Thank you and peace!
Not a problem :)
Is it out yet? Been a while since I actually check out TWC mod section.
only 2 question about the visuals, what's up with all the blue tress everywhere? and also the cities, they made all of the walled cities look kinda blocky

definitly goin to buy attila when this mod comes out
Hey ! I've got the impression to wait for a new game or like the new season of game of thrones !!!! It is so long !!!!!
But still can't wait for the release ! I hope it will be easy to install ! Thanks to you and as we say in french Courage !
The campaign is still not available yet?
I think historical speaking, Athens and Sparta were usually allied against each other. I think maybe Greek leagues would be led by the two most prominent Greek powers respectively
This mod looks pretty amazing, cannot for the life of me find any indication online of any even rough idea of when the campaign mod may be released? Can anyone shed some light on this or is it simply not known when this mod will be released?
It was set for early October but the whole team got tied up with real life stuff. TBD for release at the moment.
when IS THIS GONNA BE Done!!!!
Historically Hellenic Factions are Absolute correct!
What the hell is with the boots that the Greeks are wearing? I don't recall clothing like that existing during that time period, but eh, whatever I'm mostly excited to play in the campaign :3
When is the mod comming out? :D
This looks awesome, is there a map editor for attilla now?
+Hauken COH2 no it's the Aztec mod for total war Attila
"They started to settle at west coas of greece",he said pointing at croatia and albania

Nope just custom battles for now
Gorgeous. Where'd you get that enhanced trees mod?

When will the campaign come out?
Really can't wait for this MOD!!
Do we know if there is any news?
its dead fam
will the towns stay that small size? hope so, i hated the expanding town. They made the map WAY smaller
I can't find where to download the Ancient Empires Attila mod. Do you know where I can download it? Thanks.
You need to go to the Steam Workshop page for it. Follow the directions there
HForHavoc
Thanks!
there is two things i have always wanted playing total war games. 1 the ability to build a new city were ever i want on the map and 2 the map to be 2x or even 3x its original size
What video card and cpu do you have?
I have a 1070 and an i5 4690k
When will they launch the campaign?
When this mod out or is it out etc look so good to play
where can we download this mod? with campaign, i mean, not only custom battles.
Campaign doesn't exist yet
will they redo the politics system to actually important?
Why I only have rome carthage nabatea some of the hellenics and the eastern factions???
Cause that’s all that’s available right now
HForHavoc thanks I got it
The barbarians will avaiable later or they won't be playable any more
Should be available later
HForHavoc thanks for your reply
I cant see the campaign map.

is this an atilla mod? and has this mod been updated since? curious about getting atilla for the older medieval mods.
1) Yes it's an Attila Mod
2) It just released to the public on Friday
3) If you want to buy it, you can get a discount at this link and it supports the channel as I get a little bit of the revenue :)
uk.gamesplanet.com/game/total-war-attila-steam-key--2720-1?ref=havoc
So does anyone know when this mod will be finnished?
I cant find the campaign version of this mod... Are they still working on the campaign?
+The Last Byzantine campaign isn't out yet. Will be later this year
Thanks man
When this mod will release??
"it will be functional when it releases, obviously"
in total wars history this is not a given.
when will this mod be released ?
Do you use the intro videos from rome 1 for factions like carthage and those who werent in attila? Is this even possible? :D
cannot edit videos or music thus far. we hold on hope finding out more in the future
will this mod be available for Mac?
"3- Total War Attila new musics (medieval 2 total war )I found a way to do that"
Aztec says that on TWC
www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?738396-Total-War-Aztec-Graphics-Campaign-Pack-Edition-(-Released-23-August-)
Post number #15
even more reason for me to talk to aztec... :P damn this guy is doing good work
That would be absolute fantastic. Jeff van Dyck is simply a great adition to every total war game.
When is out?
Is the campaign for AE ever coming out?
at summer maybe a playable campaign version.
That looks cool but i like Medieval2 BellumCrucis and StainlessSteel :)
I really cant wait to play some
Neither can I!
The Thracians look very leet, Odrysian League and Getae are on my focus.
Do I need any dlc to have all the factions or do I just need the total war attila base game?
+Hoimook Chung you just need the base game
I either want to start as the Akaian League, or the Kingdom of Kush
Meh,we already have Rome 2. I thought it was like ancient tribe era. That would be amazing! Anyways nice job, keep up the good work.
