Try going to North China, waking in the middle of the night to find the noise is a Cockroach eating the Polo Mints sitting on your bedside table🤣 True, happened to my husband.
Good to see you in Malta, Hotels I stay in that area The Hilton, Raddission blue, The George, Urban Boutique Hotel and Hotel Juliani, In Qawra in the DB san anton, Santana, Soreda and few others, Cockroaches fly, but in the bathroom they like to live under the door frame so check there for Colin the🪳 Cockroach
They do not need do anything when people arrive day and night paying 50 a night, leave it like a dump and the money still rolls in, its a long winter in the hotel industry.
They say you can't judge a book by it's cover, sandblasting then re-concreting or plastering, or whatever the facades are made of sure isn't cheap. If it's clean, nice enough, safe and you can sleep fine, who cares with that great location :D oh no on the visitor, but you do get them everywhere you sre right next to a beach too so there wil be all sorts of beasties in the area :D
Hi Kevin, Don't know how big that cockroach was ,but when I was in the Maldives we had a rather large Roach I went to put my foot on it but was quite shaken when it picked up a shoe and chased me out of the room.
@ScotsmaninTenerife only joking Kevin, think you made a good move not coming to Tenerife at the moment. It is absolutely boiling here, many days 36oc plus and minimum 26oc at night,.Think it would have been to hot walking about and filming. P.S. The cockroach in the Maldives was quite big.
Hi Kevin, The best part of the room is the view , like you said if they spent some money on it it could be a nice room, no one likes a cockroach in the room , my wife wouldn’t go to bed until I found it no matter how long it took
I would not stay in any hotel that is only £37.00 a night you are asking for a dirty unclean hotel and one where you will find a cockroach in your room. The balcony what a dirty shabby mess and paint peeling off the walls. I would avoid that hotel and not go anywhere near it. I have stayed in hotels in Valletta and not seen a single coach roach ever. I think these cheap hotels have bad cleaning practices and when not properly maintained you find these problems. You get what you pay for.
