I know this was 3yrs ago but as a scleral lens wearer I didn't see the underlying cause of rainbow effect around lights (like a bulb) immediately after putting the lens on and doesn't go away. All cleaning and handling is respected.
I would imagine it’s to do with the constringence of the material; Refraction of blue, green, red light to different degrees therefore creating colour fringing.
