i know i said this on the original video but i think it is important to repeat it. when you are hit by a car, especially as hard as this hit was, do get yourself checked out. a friend who was in an accident said "no" to the emt's wanting to check him out. he passed out at home the next day because his spleen had been lacerated in the accident and he was bleeding internally. he did lose his spleen and almost lost his life. it is well worth it to have yourself checked.

I don't understand how a driver can hit people on the sidewalk so violently and his car isn't impounded on the spot and he isn't charged with vehicular assault. The legal system is absolutely crazy.

Same in the uk. There is a video of a lady who hit a guy closing the road and she hit him at about 40mph which he went a good 8ft in the air. Luckily he lived but the lady claimed she was late for work. She had a life time ban, a heafty sentence and community service. She also lost her job. A price too pay when she only had too wait like everyone else.

With video evidence of driving like that, hitting a pedestrian, his behavior afterwards (no admission of fault) I'm pretty sure it would be much more serious than a ticket and driving ban. Pretty likely community hours at least if not jail. And yeah that driving ban is gonna be a lot longer than 1,5 month like the dude in the video suggested. People can claim that Norway is soft on crime all they want, but Norway in general really doesn't fuck around when it comes to bad driving.
And if he had kids, in Norway they would have been taken away from him.

I mean, no police gives a damn if you're the idiot that jumps in front of a speeding car,no matter where you are and you also have it on camera :))) In Romania both parts would of been arrested,driver and "victim" ,but for 2 different reasons,driver for driving fast on sidewalk and jumper for obstructing circulation and endangering himself and others by jumping in front of the car.

There is a giant diference between trhow yourself in front of the car seconds before the collision and stand in front of the car minutes before of the collision telling and signaling the driver to stop. Even if some SADB guys dramatize the collision exaggerating it, its still a colision consciously started by the driver.
This guy demonstrates flawlessly, that when you have done something horrible wrong, attacking your victim is your best line of defence. One can not get any stupider than this.

regarding windshield glass: it's safety glass these days, at best you get minor cuts from it due to it breaking into blocks instead of shards. On top of that, there's a composite film added in to keep the glass together despite being broken...
If this dude was in the USA: Assault with a deadly weapon, reckless driving causing bodily harm, destruction of public property, moving violations.
Most likely would have been arrested and sent to jail.

This is crazy. If something like that happened here in America.. they'd be arrested on the spot, and sent too jail. The charges would be felony hit and run, aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, and probably a couple other charges on top. They'd automatically loose their license on top of it all. Even if there's minimal injuries.. the driver would be in deep shit. I commend what you guys do. Keep it up. Much love from America 💜💜

In England he'd probably get a temporary driving ban, points on his license and a fine. Our traffic laws are pretty lenient, as they seem to be in Russia. The main difference is we police the small infractions more severely; no one would be allowed to just drive on a sidewalk/pavement, for example.
