* Just do the way that you enjoy the build. I personally avoid CA-glue due to the smell and that it is hard to get rid of it from fingers. * Buy sandpaper and glue it on a plane piece of wood board. Much easier to smooth out the wing ribs and other parts you want flat out something. * Save balsa dust. Mix it with glue and you have a wood filler. * Where you need bent pieces you can soak the piece in water and let it try in bent shape, if the glue have hard to maintain the shape. * Create chamfers by overlapping the two pieces and cut both in one cut. But you probably did that.
@@TotalRCOfficial Yes, indeed! The only downside is when you really crash a plane you spent so much time building. A really bad balsa crash can look like someone is preparing a campfire. But flying balsa also add to the fun when it all goes well. Remember to kiss the ground after a safe landing.
Would you do anything differently?!
Let me know in the comments! ✔️

Some great tips there @Christer - thanks for your help :)
I learned my first fist aid, cutting the spars out of one of those kits in the 80s.
Ouch!
Good start, I use plaster board for building as well and cover the plan with polythene. Subbed 👍
Sounds like I'm doing something right then! Thanks for the sub, you got one back!
just got the kit with Jade and Aries modeld all for £44
Sounds like a pretty good deal these days, have fun building them! Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss the next installation 😀
I've always fancied trying one of these kits but never knew where to start. Thanks for this!
You should give it a go! It is great fun 🚀
You can start at wings or fusalage. Some kits like dumas have instructions where to start
Good advice there @Matt Luszczak 👍
Welcome to the balsa club - the real side of the hobby.
Thanks, it's good fun isn't it!

I'm not sure about kissing the ground around here - too much sheep poo 😆
