I appreciate this comment - the answer to both is 100000% yes. These areas tend to be very accepting and appreciative of people from all walks of life, regardless of race, religion, color, creed or sexual orientation.
Lifelong Rochestarian here, 66 years. I am ideologically conservative. Not only is it safe but you are welcome and people who have different ideologies and life styles would be respected. Rochester is the kind of place if you give respect you will get respect, doesn’t matter who you are. Rochester is sometimes called the San Francisco of the east. Many of the areas Anthony speaks about have homes with rainbow flags.
