Many cars are using K for anti-collision. I've turned it off because all know radars in my local cities seem to be using KA. I might enable K when I do a road trip. There are a couple detectors claiming auto-learning, but that wasn't a determining feature for me. I went for the speed of detection and direction indication of the radar. I'm very happy.
Dudes, READ your owners manuals! Uniden used to be junk years ago, but my #1 is my R7 on ADVANCED at 50% K strength, which has cut almost all my false K alerts. KA and laser remain 100% strength on advanced.
I watched this video 1 day after getting my R7. I can't be happier. I started with a radar/dash cam combo made by Whistler. I was impressed with the KA alerting way in advance, but the video was poor because of movement. It they had included a better bracket, I may have kept it. The price was good. I then went to Uniden DFR-9. It was okay, but after watching some more reviews on quickness of alerting, I decided to bight the bullet and pay more than I wanted to in the first place. I do love the larger suction cup mount. It stabilizes the r7 quite well. The r3 looked pretty good, but arrows and quickness of alerting on the r7 convinced me.
Dude, with your attitude you WILL lose your license soon, and maybe your car too! IF i was a cop, I would hide, and NEVER shoot my radar at anyone UNLESS I knew they were going at least 20 over. GUARANTEED ticket. (through experience any human can get damn good at knowing if a car is at 10 over or 25 over.) TIP: STUDY and READ all owners manuals for the R7 and the V1. Learn from others with more experience, their mistakes, their lucky experiences, and their skilled experiences. I have been nailed by MANY intelligent cops who were smarter than me.
