Imagine what would happen if someone were to remake the animations for the movie. Keep the story, keep the voicelines, keep the soundtrack, keep the scenes (in terms of how they are set), but remake the animations. Hell considering the work that Mark Louis Spark or the guy who made Astartes have made, any similarly devoted fan could do much better job than the movie did. And imagine how awesome it could turn out.
I do feel like this movie had a "rushed to be completed" theme going on, I know it's not going to be an Epic to last the ages; but seriously knew what was coming before it happened. Never read an Ultra Marines book myself yet. Also the CGI for the people was terrible it looked like 15 years out of date for the time of publication. GW needs to do better next time and spend money wisely.

Big problem with the movie was that it was about ultramarines..... Ultramarines are fricken boring. plenty of chapters that are better. Blood Angels or Space wolves for example. or an Imperial guard movie would be great its definantly doable.
Ultra Marines remind people of those school boys or boy scouts that get straight As in class have no flaws are by the book and never do wrong. No mission is to hard for them? Need i Go on?
Perhaps you just have a bias against them.. The BIGGEST problem was the story and animation. We get you have a hate boner for the Ultramarines but keep it in your pants please.

Despite being a terrible movie, it was a really good movie.

Ironic considering Space Wolves never fail and Blood angels are subjectively more of a poster boy than the Ultramarines
