Croation language version sounds more dramatic and emotional. He could be higher, if Serbia & Montenegro did not perform with Balkan ballad. Anyway it’s masterpiece! ❤️

Well, I have just remembered of this song after 14 years... My favourite was Athena and Zeljko of course, but I remember that when I heard this song for the first time, even my English wasn't so good that time, I was 4th grade in elementary school, I clearly remember that I liked this song so much. Meanwhlile, I completely forgot this thing, but after 14 years.....well it's great to hear this again. And yes, I think that this thing was underestimated that year, 12 place, it's pretty bad for this kind of song. Greetings from neighbour ;)

Fun fact: I just noticed this but when Ukraine won in 2004 and this year, the country that performed after them, in both cases Croatia and Malta came 12 though actliy this came 13th if you want to use the rule that was introduced in 2008. But also the technically drawed if you use the older system as Croatia drawed with Malta in 2004 and this year Malta drawed with The Netherlands, if you use the system before 2008.

@@Crowleas There were several really good singers in 2004. Actually, everyone except Russia, Belarus, Switzerland, Estonia, Romania and Slovenia was at least passable. However, a good voice doesn't equal a good song, as some of the others also had really poor material to sing.
