First off, thank you for all your hard work in preparing these videos. The data based recommendations make a lot of sense to me and are of great help. Secondly, I have filled out forms for both my leagues(doing it while watching your FPPL draft video by Chris). Can't wait to see the results!!! Good luck in your leagues this year.
I grabbed Ukko-Pekka round 12 in my pts league, I feel he gets no love. Been following your channel for a couple years now, appreciate the work you put in brother.
That mid round Kane/Nichushkin picks at that range were not good, those two could easily been faded. Sooooo much more value availible and could ahve got those two like 2-3 rounds later
think you made some excellent choices and advice. Wondering how you feel about sleepers , like slafkovsky/Clarke for example instead of taking a deteriorating Kane/Karlsson
I prefer players I have data on but slaf was on fire last year and should be a good pick late in the draft, Clarke I even picked up last year at the end. If he's Pp1 that will be huge, otherwise Jordan Spence is a good value pick
I took him in my money league at the 3/4 turn and I don't feel confident about it because my strategy is to minimize risk in the first 6 rounds but I was disappointed with him as a late first early second rounder last year and this year he's going 25-30 spots lower and still has that 1.2 point per game and 50 goal potential with a ton of shot volume. I don't feel good about it but its a bet on upside
Remember, one of the keys to early picks is making the SAFE pick. Lots of upside with Hughes but he cost me a league last year with his injury 🤷♂️ You have too many risky players. Kane has only played half a season since his double hip surgery? You could have had a top line, top pp 1 player (dual eligible) Seth Jarvis. Great with the stats but cracking under pressure. You had lots of dmen options: Ghost, Carlson, and Brandt Clarke as a late pick from LA as the pp1 replacement for Doughty.
I agree on the risk evaluation of early players. I'll draft Jack Hughes but not until 14-16 OA. I have a low risk tolerance for my first 5 picks because I know in 14 teams it's INCREDIBLY difficult to compete when you lose your 1st pick for an extended period of time.
Hughes only risk is injury and if he's out I'm confident I could tread water until he's back and hopefully have him for the finals. Jarvis over Kane is a legit discussion and I see your points there
If they have a light week especially in your playoffs then you have a hard time winning the week just from filling in volume guys off the waiver wire. 1-2 is OK, any more than that I wouldn't love as much but I guess you could trade one of them and still get good value
Solid content but the value is limited somewhat if you're not going to mock for the format / platform in question. Yahoo not only uses plus minus (which makes a guy like Seth Jones borderline waiver wire material) but they also don't use an IR+ spot in default leagues which means Nichushkin would waste a roster spot on your bench for two months if you drafted him. Not a guy you should be picking in the first 10 rounds if that's the case. Tippett over Svech is also very questionable and probably a big mistake. Tippett's point upside is Svechnikov's floor and their peripherals are about equal (especially factoring in plus minus).
My weakest players right now are DeBrusk, Guenther, Adam Larsson, Duclair, Brandt Clarke. I also have 3 goalies in Markstrom, Andersen, Demko. Do I drop any of them for Jarry, Korpisalo, Silovs, Ersson, Fantili, Monahan, Zetterlund, Mangiapane, Drysdale, Chris Tanev, Hayton, Zelleweger, Gustafsson, Boqvist, Gostisbhere, Lindgren, Ingram, Olofsson, Novak, Ferraro, Teravainen? 12 team, H2H, cats, G, A, P, PPP, SOG, HIT, BLK, PIM, W, GAA, SV%, 3RW, 3LW, 3C, 4 defense, 4 bench, 2G
Noticed svech fell real far when you wanted a RW? Duel winger with high peripherals. Surprised to see him there let alone passing for Tippett that early. Either way team looked good
I really like Hamilton but he got booted off pp1 last year simply because his last name isn't Hughes. I'd expect the same this year when Luke gets healthy
Rate my team 10 team points league drafted 4 Kucherov JT Miller Barzal Kaprizov Jeff Skinner Dobson Hamilton John carlson Werenski Kuemper Ullmark Silovs Erikson Ek Hischer Michkov
Would love to see more mock draft content either this year or in the future. Its nice seeing your drafting philosophy in action.

Hey thanks for the content. Just wanted to say I think Stutzle is missing from you're 24-25 Cats league hub
Tippet over svech is wild, but great vid men
I've never been a svech guy, dude just refuses to break out for a 1+ point per game season

NJ G tandem could be a value play as they're the only team with 4 games in each of the first 3 weeks of the season, with 2 back to backs in that span.
Excellent tip

How do you have a longer players list?? Yahoo changed something and we can only see 3 players at a time,i have to always scroll down 😢😢😢
How do you think I did in my draft?
In order, I selected Matthews, Josi, Guentzel, Stutzle, Hamilton, Markstrom, Tippett, Caufield, Debrincat, Sanderson, Freddie Andersen, DeBrusk, Peterka, Guenther, Rakell, Nichuskin, Duclair, Larsson, Brandt Clarke, Kuemper

What’re your thoughts on Tage in the 3rd round? cats league, hits and FW included

@@datadraft371 great advice.. I’m gonna swing for that upside with you brother!!

new jersey play 2 game on week 24 wich is my league finals.
would that be a reason not to draft J. hughes?
Hey. Just curious as to why you don’t like to go too heavy on any one team? Is it based on volume of competition?
If they have a light week especially in your playoffs then you have a hard time winning the week just from filling in volume guys off the waiver wire. 1-2 is OK, any more than that I wouldn't love as much but I guess you could trade one of them and still get good value

Should I take mathews at 3rd pick even with the upper body injury?
Yes. 82 game season, don’t let a minor injury that won’t affect the majority of the season sway you from a top 3 player.
Do you think mcavoy has high upside if he can break out offensively?
If.. Then yes. He's got good peripherals just hasn't had that offensive season yet

took nuke wayyyyyyy too early imo...hes going near the end of all my drafts
Would you have chosen Brock Nelson over Bo Horvat, if you were more in demand for a goal-scorer?
Maybe. I think Horvat gets better pp exposure and shot volume but Nelson is a nice value option for sure
🎉
I'm shocked you picked fox
My head said Hedman, my hear said Fox. I never get him in my leagues
@@datadraft371 Classic favorite team bias, probably why that Leaf fan took Nylander over Kaprizov lolz
I have to go Hedman in that situation. If Fox is available and not Hedman then ok.
