Found your channnel after seeing you on "Matts Offroad Recovery", and I am glad. Your videos are top notch, and I find myself pinching my lazyboy rocker seat with my butt cheeks when I watch some of the rock climbing ya'll do. The trails you climb have all the trickyness of the trails in Utah, but with slippery mud included. Challenging is an understatement.
Love watching you go on adventures with Hope! Y’all are really fun to watch! And yes, Hope is right. It is truly amazing what you can do with a vehicle ❤️🐞
I've always wanted one of these as my Uncle (RIP) used to own one and took us everywhere to go fishing. I wouldn't care what it looked like as long as the running train worked. It would be an amazing tribute to him.
In my youth I spent many hours playing in the Red river gorge. That was long before it was known to the out side. We had a world war II surplus jeep that my cousin and I drove to the gorge at least two years before we got licenses. You could do that in the area because law enforcement didn't care about it. Sky bridge was one of our favorite spots.
You are a lucky many to have a wife that so obviously enjoys spending time with you, doing the things you enjoy doing like off-roading in an FC Jeep that you built. Nothing is more important to a man's happiness life than the wife he choses, and it looks like you knocked that one out of the park. I notice it, as I too have been blessed in that regard. Cheers.
10:30 - I hope you guys don’t mind but I took a screen grab of that spectacular fungus (10:35) and posted it to r/Fungi on Reddit. The fungus people confirm “Chicken of the Woods” AKA “sulphur shelf”, and, yes, you can eat them if they are new enough (how do you tell?).
Well,, Thanks for the ride 1 more time in the FC !!! My Uncle had a short bed FC back in the 60's with a snow blade on it !! Frontend was too week to p/u the blade very high so had to be careful where you went with it !! Great traction on the front axle anyway !! Enjoy the rest of your trip & ""KEEP IT SAFE "" !!
Awesome. I used to watch you channel but sort of drifted away. This little adventure brought me right back. You guys are both very charming together and I can never get enough of this lovely FC in action. Keep doing!
I know it must seem crazy to drive a truck live this off-road now. But when I was young, this was normal. These were the days just before big tires, Lift kits, and HP. I like the modern buggies, but this truck really stirs my soul.
Man that thing is so cool. I’ve had 17 Jeep’s thus far. I now have a 2010 jku 4dr w/lift and 35’s. I always kept kicking around selling it and building another cj or fc type. Watching your build from the start and now the fruits of your labor, I’m convinced to go ahead and sell it. I have a 1995 f150 w/5.0 automatic I’ll be sticking into whatever I find. Thanks for the inspiration!
I spent yesterday (Dec.4th) hiking in Red River Gorge (RRG). I've searched for a cool photo that I have of my Jeep TJ at the opening of the Nada Tunnel from a trip to RRG a few years ago. I live just 90 minutes away. When I watched the video I kept thinking, "That looks like Kentucky." Proud to see you were in my home state. RRG is the most underrated spot in the U.S. Just hiked the Double Arch Trail and my wife and I ate lunch on top of the arch. Great place.
That old Girl did Very Well 4 wheeling. Im talking about the Jeep...LOL...HAHA .You and Your wife are a perfect match for each other. Its awesome to see a Husband and Wife that still like each other...LOL..Great Video...
I love your adventures. Y'all are so cool. Hope's smile and laugh remind me of my better half. She still brings me joy after almost 40 years. BTW that was some real white knuckle driving in the rock garden.
It's truly awesome that you both signed the FC. Wives do so much more than they get credit for. And Hope helping out on this build, as well as this journey, has always been a highlight. Thanks for being an upstanding dude Matt.
What a great machine to get out in, I would love to find one like that and make the back into a photo hide with gimbals, chairs and rails. The tent on top is the icing on the cake. I wonder how that would do up here in the Canadian Rockies. Nice to see people just enjoying the trails, no big egos, just having a great time.
Y’all are nuts. Followed you from Matt’s channel and glad I did. I know you are a good guy, we share the same addiction!!! The colder the Dr Pepper, the better!
I love your wife, while she says,it looks better, for that line because the other line was a sure rollieover ride, that ;ast part was nuts and the rig handled it great, good job! Daniel would be proud, now Davy would have said "what the" youall doin!
COE FC is the ticket for trail visability, Love the old Willy's, the FC, Jeepster and Wagons, i had a yard full of those different units back in the day when they were like orphan vehicles nobody really wanted. Shear key on rear axel was the weak link, The Hurricane engine left something to be desired , We swapped either Ford 300 or GM 292 6 cylinder engines in them.. & a 283 chevy or 144-6 Ford for super mpg in the hwy Jeepsters.. Russians built a few FC knockoff diesel versions that were stout and reliable & are still popular all over the world.
That vehicle is marvelous. I envy you. But that wife is one in a million! To cheer you through that rock garden adventure and come up smiling? All of us off road dudes are envious! Take good care of her: you’ll never find another.
Yall are such a nice looking couple and yall seem to compliment each other too. Also nice job with the FC looks cool! Also the old Evinrude tank if a twin line pressure tank is worth some money.
This is a great video. GA Rte 2 not as bad as it used to be. Fun to see it again. Guess that you are glad that you put the 241OR T-case with 4:1 low range in the FC. Good control.
i think the FC is really an ultimate fun, quirky build. Fred's got one. Matt, did i not see an FC comingled with the corvairs? And I gotta say; HOPE just makes me smile :)
Somehow, I kept running into you guys in other content but never followed up. New scriber and I am sold! edit: 10:40 that looks like chicken of the woods.
It Looks Similar to a Uni Mog, but Not Even Close!!...Smart Girl!!!..Out of The Truck!!...Looks like Jurassic Park??....Gasoline Is Toxic--So Are Jeeps!!.....Beautiful Pictures!!
Good wholesome fun!! Glad to see y'all having such a great time. I'm getting my first jeep here really soon and can't wait for the adventure with my family... and the building lol. I'm looking at a 99 cherokee. You know of any issues to keep a watch for? I've read some differentials are super weak. The guy said it needs bushings on the front which is a major issue as he puts it. Still drivable so he says. I'm an auto tech of 21 years but haven't done a ton of jeep stuff. Done about 10 lift kits on various platforms but just not a jeep guy...yet😁
@@skydude38 that don't cover my needs as in my lil boy being comfy in the back and keeping my mining equipment safe if left parked somewhere. I believe cherokee is the best bet
Your build is giving me hope for my Fc-150 build on 37’s and a Chevy drivetrain. Hopefully mine is faster then 45 lol. Also, BleepinJeep has a Rooty Tooty Aim and Shooty:) I saw that little thing lol.

Haha. That's funny and thanks for understanding the challenges of these trails!
Love watching you go on adventures with Hope! Y’all are really fun to watch!
And yes, Hope is right. It is truly amazing what you can do with a vehicle ❤️🐞
I've been watching this channel for 10 years. I'm still around, so it must be cool.
Never abandon Hope.
Especially on the other side of a river.
Thanks for taking us out on your adventure.

My license is suspended too 🤫
The FC is beautiful!! The approach view on the trail is second to none. Nice to see it do what it's supposed to do.

Super nice driving in the rock garden !
That section was no joke
Hope needs to be on all the adventures from now on. She really puts it into perspective what it feels like to bounce around offroad
I love when you guys take us with you on adventures. So fun! Thank you.
The Pritchett Canyon bumper strapped to the front of this behemoth makes me smile!
This truck looks so much like Russian GAZ 66
Love them

So cool glad you folks got to wheel it , looked like a great time thanks for the perfect video

Great job spotting, the right line is so very important.
For your information, most mountain streams are cold about 40* cold. Place your drinks in the water and they will be chilled.
I am so happy for you, my wife couldn't understand the joy of having an FC. Enjoying these videos

Wow, that was really fun to watch. The FC was impressive.
Thanks for your videos.
I think the FC is the coolest thing that JEEP ever produced. I want one!
Looks like a fun trip thank you Matt and Heather 😎👍
Always amazed at solo vehicle travellers. I don’t have the confidence to try it. Well done folks , giving it a go.

Probably very well as it's basically a lj and the heat works really good!
I think you're gonna have to make another fc for yourself. This one was impressive.Great job Bleepin
I think Matt should as well. :-) And I imagine the second time around he'd have a lot of lessons learned to make a second one even better.
Awesome! Looks right in place! instead of many modern over aggressive looking trucks
FABULOUS MATT! Been awhile since
I’ve checked into BJ…. Last I saw you were still putter her together. Just Fantastic! 👏.
Thanks, there's lots of adventures before this one so check it out!
Matt and Hope, looks like you two had a great time. I bet you're going to miss that FC. Great video

Hi , good job , the FC did great .looks like a good run .by the way your Wife has a great smile .
That was cool, that was a lot of Termites in that tree stump.
If you have your wife grinning at you like that, you are doing something right! Y'all have great chemistry.
Always enjoyed the videos been watching for a long time now the 🦂 was one of my favorites

Someone said that Hope was a keeper and I agree, but I think she thinks you are a keeper also. Thanks for sharing this story.
GREAT video guys!

Nice trip!
I love the body lines of the FC, would be awesome to have one...(I'm not positive, but that fungus mushroom might have been "Chicken of the woods")
Your build is giving me hope for my Fc-150 build on 37’s and a Chevy drivetrain. Hopefully mine is faster then 45 lol. Also, BleepinJeep has a Rooty Tooty Aim and Shooty:) I saw that little thing lol.
Great video, What kind of truck is that cab over?
Question: Did you guys transfer the heavy counterweight from the back of the old FC chassis to the new LJ chassis?
That mushroom was a nice Chicken of the Woods. Should have saved your bacon and had that for breakfast!
Oh man! Watching that thing wobble around over the rock garden was sketchy lol can't imagine what it would be like without the anti rock sway bar lol
