The CR450, which was unveiled in Beijing on December 29, 2024 had reached test speeds as high as 450 kilometers (281 miles) per hour and an operational speed of 400 kilometers (248.5 miles) per hour, according to China’s Ministry of Transport.
Good on ya! 👍 Fantastic to see more & more young Brits showing the positive side of China. I too was shocked riding the Maglev train to downtown Shanghai in 8 mins. I was also shocked when coming back I caught the Manchester airport train to Piccadilly. Britain gave the world the railways, but BR is old & rundown now, as is the infrastructure. At least the BR employees at Piccadilly were friendly & helpful. The British government's anti-China stance is well known, and Brits travelling to China are penalised for this. There's so much ignorance and anti-China propaganda here in the UK. China's my country's biggest trading partner. My government recognises how important China is and how important it is to get along with China in the new multipolar world. I'll get a visa free for 30 days next time I visit China. In the meantime, I'll look forward to your next vlog.
yeah but you know why though, UK is the corrupt lapdog of the US along with the rest of the corrupt EU still trying to peddle Ukraine and now Israel and Iran and obviously youve got something to say about Taiwan and Chinese human rights because thats what the US tell you... wish the UK could be more like Ireland or at least ave people who arent just there for themselves and greed like Mick Wallace and Clare Daly
The maximum speed of the maglev train is very high, but it usually runs at a reduced speed to save electricity. Unlike high-speed rail, the maglev train is very interesting when turning.
This thing only goes 431 km/h during certain hours, the rest of the time it settles for 300. But if you take the high speed train from Shanghai to Beijing, it travels 350 for almost the entire trip, and a lot more stable. You can safely place a hot coffee next to the window without any risk of maiming yourself.....
They lowered the speed on the maglev after covid because of lower maintenance requirements, and to save power. The funny thing is that now, China has a train that can reach these maglev speeds without the levitation effect. The new CR450 trains.
The amazing thing about the Shanghai maglev is that it started operating 24 years ago and has kept the record of the fastest operating commercial train all this time. What's more amazing is that the richest country in the world, the US does not even have high-speed rail, and China, being a poor developing country, has 45,000km of high-speed rail.
Now I know how they do with the bikes in the streets when those bikes are at the end of their life. Thank you for the information. Thank you for the information.
The Shinkansen and the rest of China HSR are NOT maglev, they're just traditional wheels on tracks with physical contact. Maglev is not super practical because it's only about 10 to 20% faster than a physical contact train while costing more than double per km. This is why maglev lines are quite rare, even in China.
One tip: Given the international audience on YT it is better to convert local money to US Dollars not Pounds Sterling. Most people understand the value of US dollars to their own currency so it gives them an idea of the Yuan prices in China or any currency in any place you travel to.
not sure Huawei was banned.... rather the west idiotically tried to sanction to no effect.... as i tried to apply for a position at Huawei UK... central London, similar place where Apple is

so all the people on these pro china videos are touting public transportation but how do the people live in their small dingy 100 story apartment buildings that became prisons during covid
The Shanghai maglev train has been running for decades and has fallen behind, and for economic reasons, it has not run at the highest speed, and may be slowly eliminated. Now that China's high-speed railways have launched commercial 400km/h trains, you can take the Chinese "Fuxing" high-speed train to experience China's high-speed trains.
Beauty, welcome to China 😊

410km usually runs between 15.00-16.00, i had once travel that speed in the afternoon.
yeah i should've waited 40 min. ☹
High-speed trains are very impressive, convenient, and safe. They demonstrate China's strong pace of development.
Sorry, but this train is german.
@@jochenhering5730 yep
5 pounds one way not too expensive!
That’s cheap compared to any train from London Heathrow airport into London!
you can't go anywhere for 5 quid in England, let alone high speed rail 😃
