- Matsuda is a Cardigan corgi, Pembroke corgi mix - not an aussie corgi mix, as he frequently gets mistaken for! He is a happy boy who loves to run and chase anything that moves - as most herding breeds do. He has been fed a raw diet since he came home at 8 weeks and his favorite thing to eat is duck necks. His 2 favorite things to do are hiking and agility training!

Such a happy baby boy! He looks super healthy! Does his diet affect his coat in any way? I've heard eggs make a dogs coat softer but how else would a raw diet affect his coat? Does it make it easier to brush or make him shed less? He looks like he just got back from a professional groomer so I was curious if his diet had anything to do with that! But in all seriousness you have an awesome channel and I hope you keep up the good work and have many awesome years with all of your pets!
yes the raw diet definitely makes the coat shiny and soft!
Our elderly Pembroke Corgi passed away and we’re thinking of getting another one but are considering a Cardigan as well. How healthy are Pembroke and Cardigan crossbreed dogs? Our Corgi had what the vet said was DM, which she came down with late in life. Cheers!
How did you find Matsu’s coat color? It’s so beautiful! You truly have an amazing dog :). One other question, does he shed A LOT or a ‘ normal ‘ amount? My dad is pretty allergic to dogs and it would put his mind at rest if I told him lol 😂. Thanks for your time :)! 😌
Cardigan corgi's come in merle, and he is a pembroke mixed with a cardigan corgi :) Corgis do shed a lot because they have a double coat. Since Matsu is raw fed, his shedding is reduced, but he certainly still does!

The more an allergic person is exposed to an allergene, the more allergic they get overtime. Getting a corgi (or any other dog) for your dad would be a health hazard since what ppl seem to be allergic to is the sebum and not the hair itself. So even if you've got a bald dog, it still could send your dad to ER one unexpected random day... that if his throat swelling doesn't kill him first.
Many ppl try to use allergy pills to have the pet they want, but that's another cluster of health complications, since most allergy medication has noticeable side effects, which long term, can be damaging to the body.
Sorry to be annoying but I have a question my cat likes vegies so can I give a veggie cube like how u do for matsu I'll do it watered down tho and small ??
