It’s not mine but my wife’s life journey I would like to share here.
Having lost her father at a very early age in life she lived in boarding schools through her school life. Post which she continued to do so during her college days as well.
She made the boarding school her life routine, which made her accomplish greater achievements in life.
She topped her engineering college due to the focus and disciplined lifestyle she gained through boarding school.
We all are very proud of her and her achievements though various stages of life.
Always remember family is there to support you throughout your life and there are people who have deeper and sadder experiences than what you are facing.

I can feel empathy for Akanksha as I have also gone through this phase and I think of course all of us might have but the only thing I would say is all this things are going to make you stronger and stronger every single day! I've been living in a hostel for four years...and I do get homesick even now(FYI bandiya im 21)so see it's okay but look at the brighter side...this is gonna help you become independent and the experiences...you are gonna carry them for life...you get to meet new people make memories and most importantly you learn how to live life on your own...Best of luck kiddo
I've also been living in the hostel since 4 years. Initial few days are really difficult to sustain. But as you'll get involved with your friends, studies and other activities everything goes fine....

I was in boarding school from kg to 10 th standard... In the beginning in boarding i also used to cry and fell sad but after 1-2 months i got used to it and i loved the adventures life I lived in boarding .... Just wanna say stay chill and enjoy every moment

I was in class 6th when I went to boarding school. And I was only kid of my parents so you could imagine how pampered i was,yes I know it's difficult for anyone to stay without family but trust me it's just matter of 2-3 months then you will start living the real hostel life. Now I'm in call 12 and I have infinite memories with my friends and seniors .1 advice I'll give to you is make friends "not all friends are friends "keep this line in your mind and you'll start living the boarding life.Just stay humble . Everything wil be fine soon❤️🇮🇳
EDIT: That time we were no allowed to keep a mobile phone with us..So just 1 call per month that too of just 5 mins🙃

Hi akanksha my name is dayanand I am just studying at nanded but, From 2016-2018 I am in boarding school named MIT ambejogai. I know you are feeling so bad now but later some years when you see yourself you will feel those are best times of your life because Now I am feeling like those 3 years are best (bestest) 😊 years of my life and I explore alot. we also have sports, horse riding, etc.
We have to do yoga daily early morning 1 hour. At that time we complaint about many things like food at mess, daily yoga sessions ,etc but now we think those are VARDAAN for us. These things are best so please enjoy your best days of life.👍

Watching this from the USA. I have been away from family for the first time in my life. And I must say that we be unhappy bcoz we remember our loved ones while being far. But being out of comfort zone reaches you a lot. In every situation, while you do see as if you are with your family then you will not miss them much.

Dear Bandya, I was in boarding(Army School) for 6 years till 12th Standard. 1st year might be difficult. Post that I never wanted to go home. Made lifelong friends. Enjoyed day in day out. Trust me these will be your best days in your life.

My hostel Life was started since I were kid from class KG At that time there were no phones calls to my parents only thrice in year parent meet and twice a year holidays ..and still I stay in hostel for degree education...I know its very different to us and also our parents ..bt keeping in mind to get succeed in life we hv to sacrifice something ...And you our not alone there ...there are many children who stay wid u so make friends as many as u can, go talk u wid everyone ...be happy in small things..At last I assure you once you leaving the hostel you will miss it ..

Hi Bandiya…. I m frm Mumbai just to share my hostel and away frm family experience after 12th…. I gave my JEE and was in Gujarat fr next 3 years… the initial days were tough fr me as well homesick, missing frnds, unknown ppl, all together different food, different local language, sharing rooms with classmates and during those days we had physical ragging as well. It was a tough time fr me… but eventually as the days progressed I was becoming more Independent, an extrovert, this experience in early stage of my life made me a stronger person.. with come what may attitude to face challenges. Believe me when you will pass out frm the boarding school you will miss, cherish and feel proud of the time spent there. Enjoy the journey Bandiya.

It's very natural to be homesick... I was in hostel for 4 years but after seeing the horses I remember the time I spent at the stables and also at Ganesh temple and it would be sinful if i don't mention my friends ....
It's a different journey but trust me you will learn a lot of things

Visit home for a week every 2 months interval.....after few months you'll be comfortable. (I followed this schedule during my engineering hostel days...i use to travel from sindhudurg to mumbai (home))
