Who would think this song is about a pedophile? I know in the song it says...."she's just 16 years old....leave her alone". Way back age wasn't an issue when it came to love. Now it is. Wow! I don't know much about Benny Mardones and his song "Into The Night" but I just learned of it about 3 years ago. His voice was phenomenal and it's hard to understand why he never had more success. Happy Birthday Benny! The first time I ever heard into the night, I was in the back seat of my parents car and was only 3 years old in 1980 when it came on the radio and I remember telling my mom I like this song. I have loved it ever since. And when I heard The interview of how into the night came to be, I have so much respect for Benny and just want to say it takes a wonderful person to do what he did for those teenaged kids when their own so called father walked out on them and their mother with no money no nothing. Man the very first time I heard Benny soling that song I feel in love with music even more, I still play it almost twice a week and try to sound like him, I saw a interview once that was said that he pounded his foot so hard during the show that he broke his foot to the beat of his song, there is no more song writers out there like Benny Mardones, I age saved his song about 10 times in my phone already and have sung his song to my wife because she has never heard his song before and I will save this clip in my phone as well

Wow! I don't know much about Benny Mardones and his song "Into The Night" but I just learned of it about 3 years ago. His voice was phenomenal and it's hard to understand why he never had more success. This tribute was absolutely beautiful and has me on "full sob" at work...fantastic job to the young lady singing to him in this video & wonderful, inspiring words. 💜
