I loved this so much as a teenager and ended up falling for someone so like Betty. Beautiful, smart, sultry, reassuringly common, faithful, reckless, impulsive and passionate. I still can't play piano tho
I didn't say it was the best scene, I said it was among the best. As for the scene you are referring to, I can see why you would feel that way, but it was too painful for me. I'd rather remember the happy scenes. Drinking tequila on the porch with the dude playing the sax across the park... The devilish look in her eye right before she throws the firebomb into the house...
inconceivably timing... truly, v thank u - i have been searching utube for years, for this piano clip (but only up to 2.10) - poignant, cruising edinburgh memories.
it was the first time back in 1986 when they made a film that touched on the sensitive and destructive nature of mental illness within people and how it affects them and the people around them that cares for them and love them!!??
Authentic, passionate - le heure bleu as was Givenchy's alchemy for le parfum. The blue hour: (when the sky is void of the sun and not yet found the stars).
One of the finest moments in cinema, music, and art itself.
I watched this film when I was eleven. No one warned me how harrowing it was. Tore my fucking heart out. Will always be in my top 5 films ever.

What can be more romantic than playing together same tune on two pianos?
It's so calming... I'm just melting

No, the best scene is the dinner. When he smears his face with sauce, like her, demonstrating that shared the pain she felt.
