Id love to see this in extreme depth. Routing of hoses, where certain parts have been relocated, custom brackets, ect. after seeing this compared to a stock setup intake manifold.... it looks so clean

hey Josh, any chance you could do a complete pre-built long-block install with every detail required including dropping in the engine for us DIY-ers? Maybe create a learning video playlist and break it up into a series? I'm talking about every single step from start to finish with every minute detail :) - (accessory mounts, oil pump, oil pan & pickup, water pump, timing cover, timing belt, fuel system, clutch and flywheel, intake manifold, coolant res relocation, engine mounts, wiring/ground locations, torque specs, etc.) I think this would be some great content and it would add another dimension to you already fantastic channel!

Man I have to tell you, the wind was supper low and not nearly as intrusive and the clarity is perfect as well. Also the focus when transitioning the view points. is great too.
Was gonna do the stock location but I don’t want to be disappointed- so rotated g25-660, hopefully I can keep some quick spool.

Any turbo that sounds like a startled, 30 pound pigeon, is a good turbo! I like the gopro for pov, but the lens feel a bit fishbowl otherwise. Not that your production quality ever stopped me from watching before. So much good info 🤙

Camera quality is nice on those hero 9’s! One thing I would suggest is change the wide view to normal or linear to kinda match your old camera lens 😊

Looks and sounds good. There is an option in the gopro editing software to remove the fisheye look, you may want to do that before you dump the file into your main editing program.
Even with the wind the go pro did amazing

Running my favorite manifold the AMS long runner no TGV deletes needed with that setup. Video and sound quality good for me. I'm sure it'll only get better after you get those mounts.

That motor is a ticking time bomb..
Wind noise was not bad but I didn't love the camera lens. It looked a little too wide angle. Other than that it was great. Nice job as always!

New camera is much better. Minimal wind noise this time. It did pick it up occasionally but i can still hear what you're saying this time unlike before.
Sound is good can hear the wind however it is not overwhelming as is your normal camera. Ive been looking at the new go Pro Hero 9 Black or the 360 Pro Max .
Only thing missing now is a Gimbal...
Everything else is ok 👍🏼
Btw I’m upgrading my 2006 Sti with a Blouch 5.0
Switch the GoPro to linear for vlogging. I would recommend the Sennheiser AVX wireless lavalier mic's with the gopro as well (that's what I use and they look better than the Rode lav's). I went with Brentuning and had no issues on my 420 WHP sti with Cobb 20G and flex fuel stage 3+ custom tune.

Same here 2018 STI and recording and not yet posted all the parts yet. I have 1300cc, IAG TGV Deletes, FP black, 84mm turbo inlet, AEM fuel Pump and have never done anything like that before so your more then welcome to watch me struggle once I post as I am uninstalling all the stock part. Funds wise its extremely expensive. When I got my IAG kit fuel lines and 1300CC with there TGV Deletes cost me almost 2500k and no flex fuel which that alone would be another 600 on top.

That turbo flutter sounds amazing this my goal on my 14sti hatch 450 whp is more than enough for me. Im still debating If i should go fp blue or fp green.
Video looks decent. it looks like your frame rate is really low though might wanna look into it.

Hey bader. You mentioned a visconti hanger to fit a walboro in your vid. Would that come with a wire adapter for plug and play with a walboro or would I have to do a hard wire set up?

I liked the go-pro footage. The quality wasn't as good as the other camera, but the content it allowed you to provide was great. Those induction sounds on Billy's car were amazing. Fuck whale calls, that's what i want to fall asleep to.
Kinda of a strange question, at what power number would you consider a closed deck block? Could I make 500 reliably on the stock block 2013 wrx but with forged internals, and built heads, FP black, ID1300’s, big FMIC, EL headers, external wastegate, EBCS and E85? STi 6 speed trans.
Hey Josh! By any chance, do you have a in depth guide of how to properly mod and build STi’s? For example, for the street, occassional track and streetable build, to full blown race car? Question, what are your thoughts on changing a subaru twin scroll turbo exhaust housing and replace it with a single scroll housing or vice versa?
Noticed a few bolts missing on the front shocks. I could be wrong but just in case someone forgot.
How are you getting that turbo flutter? I have a gfb hybrid BOV, vented to atmosphere. Does the front mount intercooler make the turbo louder?
hey Josh can you do a video on Tube and Fin vs Bar and Plates intercoolers, ive read the bar and plate like ets and garrett is better for short bursts of air, not through and through airflow long term. running an ETS going to swap to CSF
Is your go to a fp green journal bearing or ball bearing? For street use do you just rec journal?
I’m sure ball bearing is the way to go man, it may be more expensive but gotta do it right once man

I just got 60psi on cylinder 4 i have speratic knock on accessport but its not knocking an it runs relivivly ok. Do you have any advice?

GoPro's are decent. Wind noise wasn't bad, focusing was good, image quality not as good at the big camera but still fine. Frame rate seems low, like 24fps or something. I would like to see some 1080p @ 60fps :D

Looks very similar to how my car is set up other than the intake. Intake looks much cleaner
Looks almost the same as my current setup on my 15 Sti. Used the FP 84mm Turbo inlet with an AMS Manifold as well. Stock block. Made 400awhp and 348awtq. I have a video on my channel 😬

or 4k 60fps for even smoother images!

In your estimation, what would a FP red be in comparison to a rotated turbo?
Is turbo surge bad? Do you have to run a blow-off valve on anything larger than a stock turbo setup? I use a block off plate on my stock STI top mount intercooler
Do you prefer internal or external wastegates on the fp green? This is close to the build I'm striving for but I was planning to run internal.
On the topic of recir./bypass valves. is there a recommended mileage or age to replace the oem valve?

all of my friends in japan says they dont care much about that flutter and got no issues with it even after years of abuse of drifting. which is why most modified cars there flutters like hell. lmao

How do you find the blouch 4? I have that same setup but i find the b4.0 is super laggy
@daniellib32 yea it's laggy due to the size of it but I don't see it being that laggy. I'm hitting 15ish pounds by 3700 rpms

Dang my closed deck block 282 cams fully built engine is only making 510whp at 25 psi. That’s got to be running pretty high boost for a stock engine.
The GoPro's image quality might be slightly lower, but it seemed consistently focused and unaffected by the wind.
GoPro footage looks great. How can I get one of those inlets? I just received my ams intake yesterday and would love to get rid of the current silicone inlet. What boost solenoid are you using? I was wondering what do you do with the vacuum line that typically goes from the inlet to the boost solenoid.

Anyone have any experience with the FP turbos? Gotta buy a turbo for my 2005 WRX, I have a forged EJ20 with stage 2 cams, +1mm valves, upgraded springs etc. would love to hear some feedback on what some of you would think would be a good option for me.
