Super advice, love the 3 to 5 min lessons, paul gives me confidence in my game, I've only played for a year and a bit but I'm doing much better now and averaging 60 points practicing 2 to 4 hours a day , thanks buddy !

I took a break for 2 years because I kept over analyzing my throw. As the season went on things got worse for me. I decided to stop when I went from hitting a triple twenty fairly consistently, to the end of the season where I could barely hit a single 20. After a long break I decided to go with what I do for long range shooting. I clear my mind and think of only being smooth and calm. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Was a pretty fair player,no.3 in N.Z. last 8 in Durro super league and last 8 in Luton classic at Ceasers Palace both in England.Had to stop playing for 25 yrs cos had severe and aggressive viral arthritis.Had 6 joint replacements and waiting for back fusion surgery and a plate in my right foot. This is not a poor me story but an example of how mental strength and determination can keep you playing at a reasonable level. I have to use a walker to get around and morphine to enable me to let go of it to throw but i stil win more than i lose because i bloody hate losing! Watching your tutorials helped me refocus on the basics and i will start winning tournements again. On negative players i have been told by people i have beaten that the walker gives me an advantage!!!!!.I just tell them that they just put the W in banker. Thanks mate.

Absolutely right. I love darts because it is a mental game. I played a really slow player last week in pub league, so I picked the pace right up and he subconsciously followed suit and chucked the game away. The pressure mounted on him as I raced to collect my darts

I threw darts with a broken wrist for a few weeks... fair enough, though... wasn't my throwing arm 🤔🙈😂
As with most tips pretty much common sense in this video. Mind you, so often they're the things we need reminding of!

P.s fell over the oche trying to qualify fo the Auckland Masters in front of Russ Bray. Took me about 4 minutes to get up as couldn't let people help as 1 full reverse shoulder was only 2 weeks old and the other 9 months and a pull in the wrong direction and byebye screw. Bloody embarrassing.

Interesting thing you said about adrian lewis arm been too high at adress, at times when i struggle i hit a lot of 60s high in the 20 and have often wondered if my arm is simply too high as i am 6ft 2, trouble is when i try to lower it doesnt feel natural allthough results can improve slightly but not consistantly.

I play Monday’s and Fridays and struggling to win now. I used to be very good at my round the board game our league plays that, can’t buy a win lately and it’s heartbreaking knowing I’m better than how I’m throwing.

Connors Coarse Fishing Journey same, I play American style darts and we have a team of 6 and we have been struggling after being league champs last year. It’s heartbreaking.

I wish this was more popular in the states we just dont have the ability to get out and play most bars dont have steel boards. I am not a fan of soft tip. My dad was stationed in England and learned how to play and brought it back and taught me I love the game and love watching it when I can I prefer it over a lot of our sports

I've enjoyed the series. I'm struggling with my throwing and wish I could find someone to help correct it

Ask around at your local clubs mate. People are more than happy to help out well that's what I've found anyway.

Sir,when I’m practicing,I get all the darts going good in grouping and scoring but in a competitive game it goes haywire?

If you read between the lines Mr Nicholson I screaming out for help.
Everything he says is relating to his personal experience. He can't throw as he used to anymore. There is one defining ACTION that you cannot see or feel. It's a sod to get it back because it destroys everything you've ever been advised on. I only know of one person that can define it. But the use of the name is somewhat Taboo.

Decent series but he never threw a dart to demonstrate how successful the routine he suggested works.

It's easy for Paul to give all this advice. But shame he can't convert it himself anymore

Talk about overcomplicating the game, just relax and chuck yer darts.
