Ludhiana is the oldest city area's clock tower to Chaura Bazar, Daresi ground is oldest open space and near it, there are a number of old areas Bandiya Mohalla is one of them there is a narrow street and congested areas. There are old buildings and only 5% of residents live in these areas. All residential areas were converted into hosiery manufacturers' small-scale factories. In this locality, there was a maximum population of Hindus before 1947 till now. Chaura Bazar on both sides of this main road, there was one side population of Hindu and another side near field Ganj was Muslim localities.
The width of the inner street is narrow near about not more than 5 to11ft. Muslim community were that time woolen clothes weavers and the trader's merchants were Hindu.
Bandiya Mohalla was a residential area but after 1980 this area converted into hosiery markets This is also an old hosiery market adjoining Daresi Road.

It flashes back my days in Ludhiana; the simplicity and love on the faces of the seniors in the video were touching. Did you notice the iron gate at the entrance of the mohulla? These are the memorials of Partition days. For safety, Hindus constructed such iron gates on all entrances of their streets or Mohullas.
