Simon, get down to your local butchers in Barry and buy a kilo of steak mince (just ask for it). Take it home and divide the packet into four equal portions. Pick up each portion with your hand and shape it like playdough into a burger shape. No need for breadcrumbs or anything like that. Maybe, if you wanted to be fancy you could season each of your burgers with some salt and pepper. Next up, get a frying pan out, turn the hob on. Put some butter in a pan and fry (two burgers at a time). You can push down on top of each burger as it cooks, to create a smash-burger effect. Flip the burgers over, and do the other side. Buy some burger bubs, toast them......then you know the rest. Trust me, Simon, this would be a total game-changer. You should also do a video, meet the local butcher, then cook it at home, and then cost it all out. It would make a great video.

Second that. Also, doing some homemade Brioche burger buns is also easy. Once you ve done them and tasted them you won't go back to theat American style high-sugar bread or whatever that is

Cant agree more . Plenty black pepper and a pinch of salt and you won't believe how good they are ! Agree with the comment about the brioche buns too . Toast them in a hot dry pan quickly fir

You already said no to the butter at 03:56 when you bought "clover" its a buttery spread! Not butter. These burgers are very good though. I am sure people will tell you that they can get 4 burgers for £4 so why are you paying more? But those same people can't seem tell the difference between food made from all the internal organs ground together into a paste, squeezed into a tube & squirted in a round shape & simply ground prime meat. But then again if they could the good stuff would cost more.

I don't mind the slight extra cost in M&S when the quality is so good..... I find it much cheaper as a treat than eating out, on a tight budget! it's the same for the beer, they have some really good food and drink buyers...
