Glad you put the Clumber on the list. Don't know if you've ever met one, as they aren't terribly common, but my first impression was, " he's a bulldog...but a spaniel".
Surprised you didn't mention the sprocker spaniel. Cocker spaniel and Springer spaniel mix. Known as a hybrid breed. Perfect working breed but also the perfect sofa dog.
The Field Spaniel (or Working Spaniel) is a type of English Springer Spaniel (ESS). The ESS is divided in two types: Field (or Working) or Show calmer, more suitable for a city life). The Field Spaniel requires two hours exercise per day, truly, so it is not well suited for city life.
I believe the picardy spaniel, like the brittany spaniel, is not an actual spaniel. They are called "epagneul Picard" in french, just as the "epagneul breton" and work as pointing/setting breeds. The "spaniel" last name was given to them in a translation error
Most of your video of the Welsh Springer Spaniel are not Welsh Springers. They are Working English Springers.. What a shame. You have some still shots of Welshies...those are correct. They do not have long pendulous Spaniel Ears as the commentator states.... Again that description is for the English Springer.. You really need to edit this to make it factual.
Sussexes are not “easy going”. Go to a Sussex Specialty show and 50% of them will be barking assertively at the other dogs and these are dogs that have been socialized by going to various shows. They need an experienced owner willing to put in the time. We rescued one and after 2 years of work and trainers we had to rehome her. She was aggressive towards other dogs, children, and bit 2 men. If you want easy going, get a Clumber. We’ve had both. While Sussexes are gorgeous, and I desperately wish we could get another one, the breed isn’t a good fit unless you can be an assertive leader. She was fine when I walked her but she went on protect mode when my husband walked her. Know who you are before choosing to get one.
Which of these Spectacular Spaniels is Your Favorite?
I love absolutely all spaniels, but my favorite is brittany spaniel, they are so loyal!
ESS
English Springer Spaniel
We have our own spaniel developed in South Carolina: the Boykin spaniel.
@@maryjospooner3841 cute
Beautiful dogs! Thanks for another great video
Always worth pointing out there are two types of (English) Cocker Spaniels: ‘Working’ or ‘Show’ types, and they are very different creatures!
I have had several English springer spaniels they are awesome, we also have a cavalier now as well - very sweet!
Excellent, Leroy!
Great video!
Thank you very much.

You also forgot the Irish Water Spaniel!
Golden Retrievers and Newfoundlands seem to be larger spaniel descendants
How could you leave out the Irish Water spaniel. They are lovely dogs
English Cocker all day! All Spaniels are great but working English Cockers, the best!
You didn’t mention the Field Spaniel
Yeah, there were quite a few more too. But getting people to watch much more than 10 minutes is almost impossible.

You forgot the best of all the Spaniels. A dog developed in South Carolina - the Boykin Spaniel. A smart, friendly dog.
We love our Boykin.
I've seen 2! In Washington state.
Would rate cavaliers at no 1
For first time dog owners. Just swop cockers with cavalier then your video will be right

English Cockers > American Cockers
The Picardy spaniel has no equal
