Oh, my, gawd, this is my new favorite Ori animation ever. I love how the Bash ability is depicted in this, it's so smooth and graceful how Ori orbits around the lamps and jumps through them without ever touching them! I also loved all of the camera shots, like Ori leaping through a portal before appearing in the background, or the camera seamlessly following her through some of them. Also the spiders being surprised by Ori escaping them right before they get washed away is funny.
Honestly? If it was done with minimal dialogue and more of a focus on show-don't-tell and the gorgeous visual presentation that's so core to the identity of the Ori games, I think that The Blind Forest could make an absolutely amazing animated film, 2D or CGI. This animatic right here just makes me even more convinced of that.
An animated movie of this entire game, Or Even both games would be absolutely incredible. I've thought a lot about what that would look like for a while and this is exactly what I had invisioned Stellar job
THIS IS SO WELL MADE OH MY GOD!!!!!!! Screw a third Ori game if we got an animated series in this exact style would be just as grand! Definitely one of the best fanmade Ori creations I've ever seen!
This got my heart pumping. Even after playing this part dozends of times, and not just because I had trouble with it initially, but also due to me loving it and its music so much, it still gets me excited to see the Ginzo Tree escape being featured in such a fantastic way.
You really do keep the silent, graceful aspect of the original Blind Forest intact with this animatic. Including all the enemies you encounter during the original escape sequence and the special portals is a wonderful touch. The musical cue when Kuro’s eyes are revealed to the audience makes for a wonderful stinger.
Finished the game today, what a masterpiece of a game, great soundtrack, gameplay and a heartfelt story… Edit: Today I finished Will of the Wisps, and let’s just say…my mind was blown away again, great combat, addition of equipable abilities, NPCs, Side quests…I just realy hope Moon studios will make a third game…
Ok i kid you not, when i first played the game, i had an idea for an animation based around this escape sequence. Then i just found this. And it has some of the same things i was envisioning in my head for what it could look like. This looks INCREDIBLE, amazing work!!
OMG! This is totally incredible!! Sometimes I had thoughts like "oh, I so love the Ginso tree, it'll be so nice to see an animatic for this part of the game. But still haven't skills to draw animatics. Maybe one day...Anyway who else still think of Ori so much and can draw it??" It's so magical to see that actually there is that person! I love how you kept all sequencing of game mechanics from the level. And your backgrounds are just standing, so full of beauty. Your work is a big inspiration for me as a beginner storyboard artist💛That's a lot of attention to make all scenes move in the rhythm of OST
I've listened to this song so many times and this sequence, and even just WATCHING it the music makes me so emotional I just keep saying to myself "GO ORI! GO! YOU CAN DO IT!!"
I don't know how you did it! But you made this scene so, so much more impactful and anxiety inducing than the actual game. This escape sequence is what made the game for me and watching this brings me back exactly how I felt when I tried to escape. The emotion, the thrill and overwhelming destruction that follows the player and Ori, the music allows you to hear the sheer beauty of the water flowing inside the tree while at the same time reminding you to get the hell out or die. And you were able to capture and bring back that same emotion I felt the first time I experienced this. I also love the little details of Ori interacting with the monster, like the one that was sleeping only to be rudely awoken by Ori jumping but before it even has the chance to attack it gets swept by the water. The camera angles, Ori's expressions, how Bash wasn't just a special ability but Ori's actual stamina and leaps, and the timing... my goodness the timing of the animatic with the music is just... *chef kiss* And then that last moment... when Ori escapes the tree and you drop your guard and believe everything is safe and you're out of the danger zone, Kuro arrives. Just everything about it, is near perfection! Thank you so much for you hard work!!
This is incredible, I never knew how much I needed an Ori animation before now. I love the way you draw Ori!, they look like a really agile cat, I also love how their face doesn't show emotion but the actions and pupils do, I think that's perfect
this is.... incredible. Despite some small things that could be improved - i think it's a pretty good presentation of events IN GAME, as well as just looking so good for something that doesn't have as much detail as other animations or the game itself. This is still awesome, and i'm glad youtube actually recommended something of high quality about one of my favourite games if all time. peak⛲❕
This is CRIMINALLY underrated. The way it matched the music, the incredible dynamic movement. There was not a moment I couldn't follow how Ori was traversing that space and it looked so freaking cool. Guh.
Thank you sm for animating this!! I LOVE seeing the rare Ori community made projects, and I think it goes without saying that you KILLED it with this. I just rlly wish you had more views to properly reelect the the amount of incredible effort that went into this, as well as, the high quality of it all :.)
This is amazing, it's so fluid and tense at the same time, I didn't realise until the end I had stopped breathing in fear for Ori, even though I knew they were probably be okay in the end. Great job dear artist, it was a delight to watch!
Omg?! This animation looked amazing❤❤❤ especially with so much details going on following the game exact escape! The enemies are also there too! And you make ori dash in the most creative way! This better get millions of view cuz your work on this is amazing ✨✨✨ Edit: I'm glad this end up in my recommendation.. I've been wanting to see someone animate it! Ginso tree has got to be my fav!
i wish i could replay these games for the first time again, this animatic nearly made me cry, i love it so much, thank you for making this, like seriously i love this so so much
The art itself is simple and bare minimum, but this animation achieves a level of 3 dimensionality and realism that I've never seen before, and the technique that stands out the most to me is the extensive use of parallax in every single scene. In shot 8, when Ori curls around the ball, the parallax of the background makes it so much more immersive, and overall the attention to detail is incredible. I am blown away by this, it is... incredible!
i love how all the enemies and bounce pads and such are all placed in the order of the actual escape, tho I would just bash every enemy and projectile lmao.
For me personally, I picture executing something like this a bit differently while I’m watching it, like it can be more intense. However though, I like the sense of movement, Ori has a good weight to him, and the first 20 seconds was particularly more well put together. But I especially love the dedication to the idea of making this an animated sequence. This is something I always wanted to see, and I can’t wait to see it finished.
Oh my god... the music, the bash, the eyes of Kuro at the end, its so smooth and graceful and the enemies are so well depicted, the ginso tree is gorgeous!!!
Absolutely fantastic, and I love that it is the actual escape sequence from the game, with all the moments we are familiar with. Though i wish you had included at leash one bash off of a projectile.
Around the 01:21 mark, in Sh26, there was supposed to be a bash off a projectile from one of the flower things that shoot them, making it explode (while he's doing the spins). I removed that last minute because it took away the attention from the water raising, as we were closing into the climax and I wanted to focus on the urgency for the last shots. Would've been cool to find a spot for it, though, sure
You depicted the Ginso tree so BEAUTIFULLY!! Every shot is amazing, the choreography and staging and layout is all so great! I'm so happy i found this animatic, and that you were passionate to be able to make this! This is a wonderful gift to the Ori community, You are amazing!
We need more content from this guy he's amazing his animation is great and I love how he used the sounds from the game honestly one of my favorites of all time
Радует, что у такой сравнительно малоизвестной игры есть свой фандом, в котором создаются серьезные проекты. Пусть это все еще аниматик, результат очень достойный, заслуживающий признания.
This is such a good animation! Oris movements are so smooth, and I recognized different moments in the Ginso Tree flight sequence from the Game. Well done, our favourite forest spirit needs more recognition!
One year late for this, but I'm glad I found this. I had the image running on my head since I've completed this in the game and wonder if someone could do this for real, and boy you did it perfect!
AMAZING!!! 😍🥰I have no words, only emotions! Beautifully directed animation, breathtaking! Thank you so much for such hard work! You didn't just make an animatic. You have made a beautiful and competent animatic! Bravo
HOLY CRAP this is incredible captures the atmosphere and all the emotions of the sequence so perfectly and the quality, whole animatic looks soooo amazing!!!
how in the world is even possible that this video only has 12k views. Complete marterpiece thank you so much for doing this! loved it with all of my being
I can't wait to see a color version of the animation but I'm sure that with time and a work team it could be an impressive job😸😸, if you did this animation was impressive, excellent job 😸😸.

i mean. it already has minimal dialogue. sien only talks to give you contextual information and to inform you of objectives.
@@dumbghost3109 I think when they said "If it was done with minimal dialogue" they were talking about the theoretical film.
Really amazing, i haven't seen fan animation for a while and it is truly amazing.
An animated movie of this entire game, Or Even both games would be absolutely incredible. I've thought a lot about what that would look like for a while and this is exactly what I had invisioned
Stellar job

I'm upset this has the views it has and doesn't have more because it DESEVE more.
A work of Art, Excellent ✨

Alejandro Lozano, you're redefining what it means to create content

This is amazing! I would love to see a full colored version but no pressure.
I was looking for an animation related to this game, and here it is! But it's a shame that they aren't making it anymore...
Dude this is absolutely fantastic boarding you deserve so many more views!!!
OMG! This is totally incredible!! Sometimes I had thoughts like "oh, I so love the Ginso tree, it'll be so nice to see an animatic for this part of the game. Thank you so much, you made my day, jaja. Very happy you liked it, and good luck on your storyboard career :)
By far the best Ori animation I’ve ever seen and hand drawn at that!
I've listened to this song so many times and this sequence, and even just WATCHING it the music makes me so emotional I just keep saying to myself "GO ORI! GO! YOU CAN DO IT!!"
We desperately need an Ori Animated Series or Movie pitched to either Netflix,Amazon Prime,Max,Hulu or Paramount+ ASAP!

Теперь я жду когда вы доделаете эту анимацию до конца ^^

This is the best thing I've seen in animation, it looks amazing
This is the best Ori animation I’ve ever seen, it genuinely looks so well thought out and includes most sections in the actual game
10/10 animation
Never imagined anyone would still make a secondary creation about ori in 2024. Thank you so much and love it and the game.
You captured one of my favorite part of the game so well

Gareth Coker has worked on several games such as Ori, Ark and Ruined king, the latter two got hugely popular animated series.
Hmmm???🤔
I can't wait to see a color version of the animation but I'm sure that with time and a work team it could be an impressive job😸😸, if you did this animation was impressive, excellent job 😸😸.
