- In this video I visit Rully from @thousandsbloom at his residence. The first part of the video is a long chat about living in Bali, his neighborhood, plant sourcing, and plant community in Bali. The second half of the video is a tour of his amazing plant collection in a tiny traditional Balinese home with killer rice padi view! Rully styles the plants very nicely, pairing with cool interior decorations and his own drawings. He also shares care tips and secrets. This episode is full of so much beauty and discover, I really hope you guys can watch it till the very end!

Despite Indonesia is near at the equator, the people still managed to maintain their green environment.

I’m a Filipino and I’m so obsessed with Bali. I went there once and stayed at a very fancy resort for five days but I didn’t get a chance to roam around, but how I wish I was born there. People there are so lucky to see these views everyday.

That Pom is darling! Looks like a standard size. A very talented young man.

Philodendron False Hope... that's a good one...

😀😀
Loved this tour Thanks
Sean, you are like the Indonesian version of Summer Rayne Oaks who we have here in the US! Like you, she is very knowledgeable about plants and she travels around the world interviewing plants enthusiasts! So glad I found your channel because I learn a lot from you! Thanks, Sean!!🌴
Thank youu. I have so much admiration and respect for Summer! Hope to meet her some day
@@onlyplants Oh! I hope so, too! That would be so wonderful!😊🪴Perhaps you can reach out to her! She has made reference to your country a few times when speaking about plants, so perhaps she will travel there and you two can meet! That would make for such an informative and entertaining video for the international plant community!!😊🪴❤️
And this was just another AMAZING houseplant tour...Thank you!!! ❤❤❤
bali is so beautiful love this vid
That was awesome! Thank you to you both.
That alley way is so cute but dangerous with the mopeds 😅..I love the stone paths and bungalows Hello from Washington DC 🖐🖐
Im in Virginia 🙋♀️Hey neighbor!
Hello 😀
campuhan ridge walk is so beautiful, i went there a few years ago during the sunset hour. got bit by a billion mosquitos but it was all worth it :)
and wooowww that Ficus Shivereana!
Oh yaaa mosquitos come out at sundown 😅
37:27 i've never seen like this before, the varigation is something!
Thank you for this tour!! Such a holistic space with all the plants and art beautifully integrated 💗
Everything looks so beautiful collection 😍
Loved it, thank you! So relaxing and beautiful. Loved the walk, felt like I was on holiday though we have been couped up at home since May here in Malaysia.
My dream living environment!!!
Mine too. I have a thing for tiny homes.
@@onlyplants Yessssssss!!! A tiny home and a big yard dotted with acacia trees and all that jazz! LOL
Thank you both! 💚
😀😀
Passeio maravilhoso 😍
Small space full of hidden treasures.
Saya pernah pergi ke satu pulau di papua..,and nemenin teman ke kuburan ziarah..biasa tuch udh biasa kuburan banyak pohon kamboja..,yg buat saya heran ini kuburannya full banget sama pakis tanduk rusa di atas2 pohon kamboja ..seantero pohon kamboja dan ukurannya dari kecil,sedang2 but mosly..yg gede2 buanyakkkk..seumur2 baru pernh lht pakis tanduk rusa segitu banyk di satu tempat dg ukuran yg gede2.. so unic..
I love your tours ❤️
Since everyone else at my work does whatever they want maybe I’ll disappear too for an hour, hide in the bathroom, and watch this 😂🙌🏻 (in case a coworker see this, I’m joking 😉🙄)
lol lol or maybe watch together with everyone 😂
🤣🙌🏼🤣
😄😄
His Mojito is sooooooooooooo massive!!! I wish mine will grow as massive as his.
The orange flowers at 18:40 is actually a Canna lily/lilies they are beautiful and that orange one is pretty common in bali, usually grow wild at the edge of waterways or roadside ☺ in java there's red Canna lilies that has edible tuber called ganyong and it's full of dietary fiber and main ingredient to make zero calorie noodles but the flower of the edible one is smaller than the wild orange Canna lily in your video and not as big and beautiful as the ornamental one, Because the are grown for their edible bulb/tuber. ☺
Whoaaaa zero calorie noodle!!
@@onlyplants yash and the noodles are soft and delicate you just need to add hot water and it's done ☺
I got a slanted pot at our local plant trade event here in Florida. A woman makes her own pottery and she made it in the shape of a tea cup on its side but with a flat bottom. It's one of my favorites. Totally wish those were more common. My pothos looks so nice trailing out of it.
The mystery plant at 53:30 looks like a rainbow selaginella. They're really fascinating prehistoric plants.
Right! that’s a Selaginella erythropus .
Thank youu
amazing! start selling those drawings :))
Woooooiwww it’s kinda wild
Fabulous tour! His collection is incredible. I
wonder if he is speaking of zeolite at 54:16?
Just wondering, how you ‘sean’ can mention and remember all the plants name.. amazing
Im not sure how, their names just call out to me 😅 I cant remember humans names though.
@@onlyplants Amazing.. and thank you for the reply :)
23:34 family of Melocactus, Opuntia sp. and the one which in Indonesia they called it Cowboy Cactus. The Opuntia and Cowboy will grow massive, while Melocactus stay relatively small.
If you still stay in Bali, please visit Kebun Raya Eka Karya in Bedugul, they have amazing collection of orchid and succulents, I worked there many years ago.
23:45 Not pinguicula, I think that is 'Blue Leave' belongs to lavranos group or something else, but definitely not pinguicula.
52:35 Bulbophyllum lobbii
57:35 Nepenthes ampullaria
Thank youuu I will head there in the next trip. Appreciate those plant IDs!
Lovely video. It feels as if I am visiting with you. Quick question. Why are the pots slanted indoors at an angle?
To give the top more light to encourage bushies growth, also to let it trail a bit better
Popcorn is a must 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 nice content
😀😀
I think the plant at 53.21 is a sellaginella or the resurrection plant.it can survive drought and it curves itself into a ball when it doesnt get any water.
That is so cook, kinda like a moss ball lol
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
💚
Hi! I love your channel! Quick question, are any of the nurseries you featured in your channel sell cuttings only? Going back to Indo soon-ish and can only bring cuttings back to the States.
Everything is negotiable in Indonesia haha
