Faux finishes were the norm in many historic houses of your vintage. Things take time to think through so take a breath and ponder before you labor. Coffered ceilings add wonderful detail to ceilings as well. Your efforts are all so spectacular and I am sure your work is appreciated by the locals. Wishing you a day overflowing with praise.

Ash, you’re a terrific tour guide. I almost feel like I’ve been there. I love the painted wood grain. As someone who used to do that for a living and used to teach my apprentices how to do it, you have excellent skills equal to any professional. Amazing what has been accomplished in a very short time, most of us would not finish in a lifetime. The grass areas in the wall garden are springing up and really bringing in another layer of life. Tracy’s rockery area is flourishing, I’m sure the scents are soothing. Bedroom ceiling, no wasn’t an option, the question was always how? - wonderful. Wow cleaning the tower walls has made a huge improvement to the facade it shows off those corner stones beautifully & regardless of the rustic looking awnings they look fabulous too they need to stay. The patrons need praising also for their contributions towards bringing this building back to its majesty. 👏🏻👏🏻

You’ve all done a grand job. The locals will be in awe of what you’ve all done, I’m sure. I know I am. Bringing the chateau back to its former glory is going to take time, these things can’t be rushed. It’s not like post war prefabs, up in a day and done, the chateau is a work of art.
