  • A little shorter today, for a change. Partly because not everyone has an hour plus to invest in watching Tom open boxes, and partly because the "infallible" oracle Youtubus Algorithmus seemed to dislike some of the content this time.
If you have a question, comment, complaint, or criticism, or would like to share (or sell) your collection, please feel free to write Tom at:
    herrwittmann@gmail.com
An email sent directly to Tom at the address above is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section.

I really cant express enough how therapeutic watching your videos are to me I am 39 yrs. old and suffer from ptsd. and you are the only thing I can watch that brings my anxiety down and makes me feel normal everything else is too intense and people's motives are selfish and come across as desperate for the likes and thumbs up and you whom has CLASS never even mentions or asks for it and boy ol boy is that refreshing to see! God Bless you sir and all that you do.

Im a sword guy so this one was right up my alley. Though the Germans called the straight ones "Degen"/Sword & the curved ones "Säbel"/Sabre. There is a difference in western sword terminology.

Vielen Dank Mr. Wittmann, i love your videos ... i'm collecting Militaria items too, but in a much smaller way... i collect original and repro items of the first and second world war, many medals, mostly helmets, the original ones are often unfortunately only finds in the ground, you find them mostly on ebay in auctions, which certainly are already a bit rusty... 🙄...but wtf...

Hi Mr. Wittmann. I follow your videos with great interest. To the point. About 8 minutes into this section, an SS sword is shown, where various details are made of steel. So I wonder if it is also known that there are original parts such as pommel and crossguard made of steel, for example an F.W.Holler dagger?
I and others, look forward to new "cell sections"

Being a relatively new collector, I've wondered to what degree blade runner marks affect the condition rating. Can a blade be rated NM with pronounced runner marks? Appreciate your comment's.

That is really a matter of taste. To some people the slightest imperfection makes a piece worthless, while others accept or even appreciate the normal characteristics of wear.

Do not change a thing in your videos. Leave the entire unboxing in your videos, including walking to the back to retrieve the box, cutting it open, pulling out the packaging material, unwrapping the item. There's really nothing like it on youtube dealing with militaria. I like it best when there's zero editing because you know there's no shenanigans.
