It's checkmate control. You earn special by killing with primary, pulling heavy, or capping a zone
Edit: The progress bar for receiving special can be seen at the side "Special Ammo Transmat". Other weapons dont generate nearly this much ammo.

True prophecy with Rangefinder and Rampage; the other one is a 180 called Vulpecula and it has encore and multikill clip (it's alright I guess lol).
