My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article ruclips.net/user/postUgkxibD_L3sDyYENL5CwePCd9plRBqjzw2mw At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is a good stuff.
I don't even know how to thank you for this online course. Our local class is 60 miles round trip, 2 days in a row. I don't drive a lot any more and I don't want my husband to have to drive me that far and then have to wait around for hours for me to finish both days. I also have a hard time sitting that long because of my back. So this way I can watch, get up and walk around, come back to it etc. THANK YOU. It's very informative.
@@DrVanDykeDO I plan on sharing this video with my brother and my niece. They both just found out they are pre diabetic and my son as soon as he goes and gets his a1c checked to confirm his being so as well.
What is a very reliable glucometer? My”one touch” meters have always had a severe discrepancy by 10-15 points even if i take my readings in three to four in a row. Very frustrating when trying to get a correct impact that a new food has. Impossible to know where I really stand !
One touch is one of the more reliable devices. Keep in mind that no one device is perfect and the FDA allows a certain amount of variability in reading to reading. You could consider a CGM trial to watch your patterns over 10 days.
When I was first diagnosed my fasting bgl was 688. My doc asked how I wasn't in the hospital. I had no idea what she was going on about. She didn't send me to the hospital. Just told me to drink more water.
I thought my body would never be the same again, but you fixed it. My heartiest gratitude to you Dr Igudia for helping me cure my type 2 diabetes disease successfully
