Yes same here. I will not tolerate nor accept any kind of disrespect from people, anybody especially my family. I'm glad Kelly is standing her ground and speak up for herself because the security guard mistreat her so unfair, etc. People need to respect person/people boundaries and their personal space. Kelly had the right to address the situation and check the guard not to put hands or touch her without consent.
As an African woman living in London I felt it. Most of us who've been through such experiences know that you don't have to do or say anything to elicit that kind of reaction.

Why have her arm out continuously behind her back as if Kelly is a child. That type of body language can easily let a situation go south very quickly because it gives the impression that the security has more authority than the guest. If you are going to ask me to be a guest, treat me as such. The security can just put her arm out once as to usher her up and give her direction and put it down as soon as the guest starts moving in that direction. That lady security’s behaviour was utterly unacceptable.

My 1st experience of going to France put on a billboard to me how cold and unwelcoming the French were to my hubby and I. A first impression that, unfortunately, will never change. Fumi.... I've been to all over France several times. I love Paris and Bourdeaux. I was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and traveled the USA. I've experienced more racism in my area, the DMV than any of my travels ever.. But, the reality is that racism is a problem all over the world. I feel so sad for Kelly now. When I heard a while ago about the ill dressing room situation, it just alarmed me. I am SAG-AFTRA, but that does not matter for any of us public positive people. RACISM is ignorance and many in our midst are guilty of it.

If Kelly was of a different color, this would not be a conversation. Racial discrimination is exactly what happened to Kelly. Case in point Meghan Markle, Harry and Meghan were told they could not have it half in half out but yet at the rainy Garden party that William had all his cousins with jobs were doing their half in half out. The truth is if Harry was to leave Meghan tomorrow, he would be welcomed back with open arms to the RF in a minute. Meghan being a strong and confident black women is a threat to them and thank God Prince Harry loves his wife enough to take her and their child out of there and give if the only world that he knew. Fumi you should read this book called Caste by Isabel Wilkerson. It’s tells about how a lot of the things we face is because of a created hierarchy. The dominate caste(in western world that will be race) no matter what class or economic status, would also move as they are above you. Take it upon themselves to put you in your place. That they believe you should be in. If you don’t read the book watch the movie Origin by Ava Duvaney and I promise you after watching that you will run to buy the book.
