@@thalassaer4137 There is no black market for the Philippine eagle. Unless you can show someone who owns one. You are just talking out of your arse. The Philippine eagle has not been hunted for years now. Where have you been? You are so ignorant.
Wavemaker The Philippine Eagle is from my birth country - the Philippines. Yes, moving 2 of these eagles to Singapore - the country where I live in - is most definitely a very good move and will help not only in Conservation but in increasing their highly-endangered numbers. SG’s world-famous “Jurong Bird Park” (named for its location - Jurong) is a multi-awarded Bird Conservation Park many times over including Asia’s and World’s Best. Have you ever been to this wonderful place? It is VAST, beautiful, and peaceful. Both Locals and Foreigners frequently visit. I have seen many and JBP is, by far, THE VERY BEST one. The birds are free to roam and fly, and the lab has a very high success rate for hatchings. The Philippines loves its Philippine Eagle - the only monkey-eating eagle in the world - hence why they want to preserve its numbers. Back in the PH they have successfully hatched a few eaglets, a very proud achievement given the meagre resources, but due to finances, improving conservation is a very tough climb. I am extremely happy that this very rare, precious-to-the-world eagle is now part of Singapore’s conservation efforts. All Filipinos who love their National Bird wish SG’s Jurong Bird Park research & breeding program much success. You cannot fake this type of dedication. Their high success rate & awards speak for itself.
