the one in the guitar is a foam like material they use to reduce the sound of the guitar so that it wont disturb or affect other mics.
You know what im here sir. The girl back up singer is now in Idol Philippines 2022. She is amazing Ryssi Avila.
They have such different styles and voices but it all melts together into one beautiful sound when they harmonize.. Wow!!

I love this song, it's such an old classic now. I saw the original artist/band perform this when I was a kid. I wish they'd perform on the Wish Bus too but I think only the lead vocalist is the same now. I feel like this Wish performance came about this way: they were jamming out on a day-off, randomly did a cover of this song among many others, thought it was beautiful, and Michael said, "Hey why don't we perform this on the Wish Bus?" Because these artists don't really release a lot of songs, so it wouldn't have been for a specific promotional activity. They probably just genuinely thought it would be a great fit for the Wish Bus.

"Rainbow" is one of my favorite songs and is my song to listen when I'm down since it has such an inspiring message. Great review. I learned so much about the technique, talent and hard work done in this performance.
Lay Me Down cover version by Michael Pangilinan is a must-watch after this.
Actually, 3 or more soloist singing together is actually pretty common in the Philippines. We see it every sunday on TV variety shows.
This is my favorite on the Wishbus and happy to listen to only this song over and over again.
That soulful, raspiness in her voice is so addicting. She stole the show imo! 👏
But this is all Khel Pangilinan. The arrangement….the choice of instrumentalists and vocals….It’s all Khel.

Michael has been known to have this habit of squinting and rolling his eyes up sometimes even closing them while he sings so I guess he wears the sunglasses to hide it. As for the guitar device, it's probably for the percussion effect. That way he doesn't have to shift his hand far to tap the guitar making it easier and more convenient to get back to strumming and plucking after tapping.

You are very kind to this group. I guess I appreciate them a little more after your comments. My hearing is not so good as I miss the top frequencies. I agree with you that the female accompaniment is good. I am glad I listened right to the end as it did get better for me. If you want a more unique voice then you might wish to try any of Courtney Hadwin's cover songs from her Vevo channel. Thank you for this reaction as I would not have listened to them otherwise.

Funny how the mind works. Remembered this video from my time on some other channel the name of which I forgot. When Ken asked who the woman is, gears in my head kept turning and coming up with a few names until I quickly settled on "Rosie". Apparently it is Roserely or "Rhyssi". Close enough. Forgot about all of these artists. About to fall into that particular rabbit hole, again...we'll see. She is awesome.
