Gotta love this dude, man. He's been my favorite source for years.
Drumming definitely a stress reliever thanks Rob
Ive been watching for 2 years, I like and suscribe. Wanted to say thanks again and let you know I ordered 3 tees from the merch shop. First time I've ever financially supported any channel, wish i could have done more. This guy deserves it, best channel on here.
I have an Alexis kit so I can add it to one of my tom rims.Ty for giving us some good grooves to try on our kits!!
Yeah Man, I diggin those vibe, love how the cowbell sit in the pocket and add something to the groove.
great exercises for limb independence too!
Music is life!
This lesson is MOO-SIC to my ears!
Thanks Rob for your lessons. I will be a year in this may 2024 using you as my teacher. I appreciate you. Thanks much.
Fun fun! Groove #1 took me back to the first track of Hair Of The Dog LP. Spent so many afternoons jamming to that when it came out.
This! This is exactly what I needed. I bought a cowbell/tambourine combo for my kit recently and now I can incorporate it in my practice. Right on time!! Thanks Rob!
I feel sooooo much better!
This weekend I’m getting a cowbell!
Haha. Nice!
This Video Came in the Best time, I just got my LP Rock Cowbell Today! So excited to try Them, Thanks Rob!
Aaahh. Cool, man 🙂🤘🏽
Awesome. W’all need more C bell. I just got a ridge rider. The one Rob is using. I’ve had a mambo for years on my vintage Gretsch but that kit is six hours away at my brothers house.
Rock on!!!
We’re spoiled again , thanks Rob !
Try placing the cowbell at different spots on the kit....it will expand your ideas of when and how to play and incorporate the cowbell...it does for me...placing it close to the hi hat or ride lets you add it quickly while groovn...hey...Mr. Beatdown got me all excited and my mind is workn overtime droppn this cowbell stuff...bottom line....i need me some more....lol....you know 🍻 Rob your always so inspiring as a teacher and love your style and pinache...keep up the great channel!
Thanks Rob, was in a need of some inspiring words after getting laid off from work.
This video is such a great resource. I review it periodically, as in I just purchased a new cowbell! 😊
Been watching for awhile… the random positive message you started the video off with really meant something. Thanks man, it will get better. Much love 👍🏻
Cool stuff BDB!
Excellent content - thank you for a great lesson.
This was really awesome! Cheers, Rob!✌️🥁
We all Need moe Cowbell!
Lets get it! Dig the videos 💯🥁
My prescription has been filled!
Thanks again, Rob!
Such an underated instrument. You had me at groove 1.
Thanks 🙏 awesome once again
Hi ..Rob hey YA NEVER MATCHED THE CHA CHA " 🛎 BELL OR THE MOMBO " 🛎 BELL IN YOUR DRUM CLASS . IN HOW THEY BASICALLY FUNCTION , IN THE WORLD 🌎 OF MUSIC & PERCUSSION . THAX'S MR.BROWN .🥁 = 🎶🎼🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I really enjoyed the groove #5 and the space you created with the second bar. It's really cool, Rob!
Maaaaan, the best drum teacher i had for years! Every lesson of yours is a blessing! Greetings from Croatia.
3 blew my mind a little bit 🎉
I bought 3 cowbells today, came home, got on RUclips, and here's this video! I bought a LP timbale cowbell, tapon and black beauty sr. I've been learning some latin beats and they sound great with cowbells.
Rob, these are all so cool!!! I want to learn them all. I have the LP Chad Smith Signature Ridge Rider Red Hot Bell and I love that cowbell. I took a lot of time to pick it out and IMHO it sounds great! So now you've provided some great grooves for me to learn. Thanks Rob!
Great video. My wife likes Number 5. I like Number 1, probably the only one I can play 🥁
I really love how you break it down and include the sheet music! I began catching on 😊 thank you. And your really sweet ❤
I bought a Cowbell for a musical gig and haven't used it since because I don't know how incorporate into my set playing and here we are with an entire video on it. God bless
bro plz do more cowbell video's! if you make these, i wil buy all you're mugs! i love cowbell crooves !! thank you for this video man !! love !
Mr Beatdown, this video is a perfect example of why I love you so much!🎶❤️🎶
When Bessie comes in from the field I'll borrow hers. I gave it to her after my classic rock era. You just had to inspire me, thanks beat down!🐄
More cow bell!!
I don't have a cowbell, i might buy one, but i will definitely work on those grooves playing woth the ride bell, basically developing more musical ideas, i really love how those grooves sound, and feel like
Great job man, do more videos with also more complicated grooves that sound killer👊🔥
I flippin' love you, man. You're the coolest cat around. Your humor cracks me up. That intro was Oscar level with that cowbell ending. lol.
Nobody plays the cowbell like weckl. Come on man. Seriously cool sounds
Ironically I just bought a cowbell for the Steelers wheel song, and was curious if I could make other use for it! Thanks right on time OG!
Beat down got the prescription for that fever!!
The cowbell is strong in this one 🐄 🛎 😊🤘
Jeez now i gotta get a cowbell!
Cowbell reminds me of that SNL skit 🤣
The stars must have aligned, because it was only a couple of days ago that I finally figured out where to put my cowbell. I just didn’t have any way to mount it, but I solved my problem by mounting it above one of my ride cymbals. Now it’s time to go to work on those groves you showed. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge.
More cowbell!
Great lesson Rob! The 3rd groove is particularly spicy. More cowbell is nearly always a great thing and I love the cowbell so I really enjoyed this.
Cool stuff, Cora. Glad you dug it!
Agree. Love the third groove.
Christopher Walken meme incoming in 5,4,3,2...
There is something joyful about a cowbell, though. It's like the groove stands up and yells "Yo! Over here! Pay attention,now.."
Maaaan, these grooves will make a lot of bodies moving🕺
legendary intro
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 killer sound. Sorry I missed your birthday Rob, it's mine too......life has been challenging lately, and lead me away from drums. All the best!
I wouldn't be opposed to seeing more general percussion bits. Basic Latin grooves on kit/congrats/timbale (any two tone pair). Claves. I might be rambling
Check out 'Sick for the Cure' by Cinderella. One of my favourite cowbell grooves of all times! Great video, Rob! 🤘
A bloke came up to me and said " I'm a dairy farmer, in the winter i put tubular bells around the cows necks, so that i can listen to them in my cold field.......
😅😅😅😅😅😅 I get it!
Good one Rob!
Can you please do a video on second-line drumming grooves on the pad 🙏 didnt know it was "
called "second line" til I saw it in one of your vids
😩For all you Toronto Blue Jays fans out there, it does get better, with time! A shout out to Red Sox Nation
Let's embrace Rob's lesson's and listen & practice more "cowbell"
Very nice, but where is where is “we’re an American band by Grand Funk?
Or “Hair of the dog” by Nazareth
Video idea(s): 5 Favorite Single Stroke and 5 Favorite Double Stroke exercises :)
The solution to all the worlds problems: More Cowbell!😃👍
What's a good Cow Bell mount/holder to get? Cheers from New Zealand 😁
The cure is always more cowbell!!👍👍
I got a Fever and the only cure is MORE COWBELL!!
Lando cowbelliean 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
🥳👍🍻
….More Cowbell!!
Yes the video did come at a good time. I just picked up a second kit and a cowbell came with it so time to have some fun. Hey Rob I know from your videos you are a Yamaha man, this kit I just picked up is a Yamaha stage custom advantage kit. I've heard of the stage customs but not the advantage line, do you know much about these kits or does anyone out there? Thanks in advance everyone.
The SCAs were great drums. Can’t remember exactly when they came out but they’re still a nice score used. Birch and Mahogany shells and the toms were deeper than the current SCBs. Big, full sounding drums.
@@RobBeatdownBrown awesome, thanks for the info. I picked up a 6 piece kit for $350, they are like brand new. Just gonna slap new heads on them.
Only 5 grooves
More Cowbell 🐮🔔
Sounds like 80’s grooves.
Groove #5 is my favorite. Which Paiste hats are you using?
15” Dark Energy Hats 🏆
@@RobBeatdownBrown I have 15" Meinl Byzance hats. Yours hats sound nice and clean. 😀
We're an American band
So, I got a fever...
I Make the wife wear one around the house… (well, she is Swiss)
! hAvA fEvEr........"! nEEd mOrE CoWbEll !!!!!!!" LoL ThAnX bEaTdOwN
How often have you used a cowbell in gigs?
"cowbell groove" - stop! You're making me laugh out loud at work! Ha!
Shame grand funk always passed up for rock and roll hall of Fame, 100 percent political
I like mine to use quick tip hits combined with a bell and splash, never really used it as a cow bell 😂
