Why does it look like the same consistency as hot process soap? Is it because the temperature of the oils and lye were so high?
I've never seen a good shaving soap that wasn't in a crock pot. This was interesting to watch, thank you for sharing.

That was very interesting, can you get a lather like that strictly cold process? I made some shave soap that lathered really well, not quite like that, I played up lather enhancers like sugar, oils and ratios, but I didn't know about the addition of the other lye and glycerin... Is that what gives it that lather? And the hotter temp?
Also, is it soaping at that temp that makes it usable right away verses cure time? Like a countertop hot process?
