not necessarily. its complicated. under 49cc you don't need a license, but it is not street legal. you need certain things like lights and horns and a special goped liscense (you can get it at age 15)

Cool I built a real nice Schwinn Cruiser with a china 66cc and I love it. Thinking of getting a much better engine and putting it on a mountain bike and adding some good offroad tires and maybe have to mod the forks or something, but I was thinking it would be cool if I could get a much nicer engine that has a centrifugal clutch. And then I could have a dirtbike :D
yeah. with motorized bicycles, build a fast street bike, and an offroad fun type of dirt bike. that's what i did. btw, these things are addicting and are money vacuums! lol
