Not exactly a ketchup bottle but not much different ether. It works out for this purpose, perfectly. They actually test drive every completed unit as part of QC so a separate gas tank keep the unit clean and brand spanking new.
@iongets Yes, you can buy a Go-Ped right off the GoPed.com website. Just visit the products page and click on the "Buy" button next to the model you want.
oh what a place to work man, every one driving around on scooters and qauds, its nice and calm quite no ones in a rush. whats it take to get a job there cause thats right up my ally
In the past and hopefully next season I set up the road cones at a ski resort parking lot with a ESR750EX. Made my own studded snow tires. Shortened sheet metal screws that I screwed right into the tire with super glue and they worked great on snow covered roads and especially ice. One of the best things I have ever done was ride through a foot of fresh pow before the snow plow got to it.
Go-Ped invented and stared out in CA, was manufactured there for about 20 years and for most "Old School" GoPedders, GoPed is better known as "California Go-Ped". Since then the factory moved to NV but they still own the trademark "California Go-Ped" since California is the roots of where it all started.
The direct drive models allow them to be smaller, lighter, and more maneuverable with more power going directly to the rear wheel while having fewer moving parts that require periodic service. Direct drive models are the most powerful, lightest, and most fuel efficient model available for their engine size. This does not mean the direct drive models are the best model for everyone but these are the reasons why they have been a successful model for 30 years. No other scooter can claim that.
Turn the idle screw all the way out so it is not really being used. Once started use the Low speed carburetor jet to set the idle. This tends to work much better then moving the butterfly valve with the use of the idle adjustment screw.
Yep, you are correct. I can say it works surprisingly well, used exclusively for gathering parts for the shipping department, and I laugh every time is see the guys playing around on it. They (and I) like to get to speed and drift it around corners on the smooth shop floor.
Only just found the PMW Channel! Excellent work! Do you do guided tours of the factor? I'd love to visit one day! Bring the "Roadster" home for a ride around the factory! lol
@TheMercilessMick the electric ESR Is the quietest by far. The 29cc 2-cycle engine not all that loud stock. There is a trick to further muffle the intake with a tuperware container that the existing air box will fit into but when near home just cruise and avoid wide open throttle is the best way to control noise. The propane model is a 4-stroke engine that's even a little quitter then the 29cc 2-stroke.
@PMWgoped That sounds fun. I next time snow is predicted I'll pick up some some screws and make some. My tires are pretty worn, might as well give them a new life.
@ryanerb Actually it is just one guy/gopedder that works for PMW. I am just trying to share some basic stuff that I know will help many. Thank you though, I do appreciate knowing that there are people that do enjoy some of my videos. :-)
u should bring back some of the older models like the gsr40. zenoah doesnt make the g43l anymore but the manufacturer from another company known as tanaka ( engines placed on bladez scooters[now discontinued] that are high quality) makes those engines.
Do u think they will drop any more this one website had them for $389 but it's gone now that's where I got my first one from but they should drop more people will just go to other gas scooters I'm trying to keep the goped name alive where I live but they cost to much u could just drop the price for 2 months I know u guyz will sell and the more people on the street ridding them will just make other people whant them I what to see go ped on the news. Saying THEY ARE. BACK.•_•
I believe so but I do not think there is a distributer in South Korea. You may need to get yours from a distributer in like Singapore or the Philippines. I know the guy in Singapore and he is a really nice guy. Google "GoPed Singapore" and you should find their website.
@acceso1023 He may have a little trouble starting push starting a Sport at first but should be find after he/she figures out the technique. A Super X-Ped is a little over kill for him unless you think he is going to be like Evil Kenevil.
On line at goped.com is one place but there should be a few dealers in S.Cal that can help you out as well. Try looking up Myron's Extreme Machines in Fullerton. They are very good and understand GoPeds better then most.
It's actually better to give it gas after you get the rear wheel turning. The engine then starts itself so you can give it gas to go. Give it gas to soon can cause the scooter to want to take off before your ready.
Sounds like you have a direct drive model like a Sport. I love my Sport and take it with me everywhere but you need to learn how to operate it since it does not have a clutch. Since it's direct drive more of the engine power goes directly into driving the wheel making it more responsive, maneuverable, and powerful then any clutch drive scooter with the same engine. Watch my video on the Sport model walk-around it may help.
Unfortunately, I cannot do all that in only a 500 character count that is allowed to comment on video in RUclips. There are some good stories and I have had the pleasure of playing a major roll in making the factory in Ireland possible. I am also one of the administrator for the "Go-Ped brand products" page on FaceBook. If you ask the question there I might spend the time to post a little article on the subject. I think FaceBook would be a more appropriate place for something like that.
It sounds like you flooded the engine with to much fuel. The engine cannot start if that happens and trying to force and engine that has flooded typically does little good and make you work the starter too hard. If the carburetor was already primed, then you may have over prime it (result is a flooded engine). You just need to pump the primer until you see fuel moving in both lines. Once that happens stop.
Here is a trick you can try.... choke the engine by putting a plastic bag tightly over your air filter. Use a pencil to poke a hole in the bag so the engine can get "some" air. Now start, with using just a little to no throttle until you hear the engine "pop" a few times. Remove the bag and continue until it starts and work/feather the throttle to keep running until it comes up to temp, then go ride. Note: if you have a tune-able carb then it may be out of tune and part of your problem.
LOL, well if you don't have a choke then the engine is going to hard to start when its cold and if you don't know how to start a cold engine without a choke then you could be flooding the engine each time you try to start it. But if you don't mind pushing that is basically doing the same thing as the pull starter (making the engine spin). note: I am going to delete your post in a couple of days. I'm trying to keep the cussing out of the comments (sorry)
I just took my racing xpipe of my goped and I am wondering if it's ride able I waz trying to put it back stock so u guys know who a goped looks with out a back cover or a pipe I Relly need to know if it's ok to ride its a goped sport 2 is there a way I can sent u a pic of it
Very nice factory. I currently own a GSR-40..though nothing like how it ships out of your factory...heavily modded. One thing I don't like is the constant repairing and cleaning etc on a scooter...not really a con...part of the experiance i spose. One more thing...My hatred towards installing throttle and break setups!!! I can never get it right..my breaks never work properply! lol not your fault..whack up a video on how to porperly install gsr-40 discbreaks...and throttle... thanks
I'm trying to start a stand up club in Southern Oregon I have a 49cc, I'm not going to say the brand because it's not the GP, it's an SX, first part of that is a scooter.. either way just me riding these things down here I can promise you that I can start a huge huge trend maybe I can be a retailer of sorts out here, if all possible it'd be cool to maybe get a hold of your company and figure something out I used to sell Kirby vacuum so I'm one hell of a salesman and I know for a 100% sure that I can sell a grip of these down here we have some of the most beautiful roads down here and since I've been riding the stand-up that I have I see lots and lots of people interested in it I try to explain to them that electric seems all fun and whatnot but they still need a lot of working out of the bugs into the same price you buy for a decent electric You can spend around half of what you would for a gas and have another $1,500 to build upon and since I started writing my computer I've had people who own 60 to $80,000 lifted trucks jealous of me with my stand up. that I commute with.. I would like to work out a deal and see if it be something y'all would be interested in cuz I can with certainty know that I would make a lot of sales down here I can probably get 10, to 15 of them off every month or more. Please let me know what y'all think about this.. there's only one stand up scooter, and it is GoPed.. there is no other scooter that's even in comparison to this brand
Unfortunately no, I only think the prices will go up from here now, I know Go-Ped restructured to get the prices as low as possible. Unless, they stop using the high quality materials they put into them and start making low quality models. It's just a matter of time before powered scooters becomes widely accepted as a low cost alternative for a transportation tool. The cheep low quality Chinese made scooters created a lot of negative opinions on powered scooters but time will heal.
Be careful turning on hot asphalt. I broke my tibia and fibula on my 1998 goped bigfoot and have had partial paralysis for the last 19 years because of it.
I have one gsr 29cc great device... but starting them is sometímes a pain . The rope is reallyyy bad please solve this issue and put a better rope. .the pull mechanism is about 100uss in my country Uruguay. If you want to send me one for free ... that would be nice!
help i have a all stock sport and the motor keeps shuting off if i use the pull string i have to keep taping the gas to keep it fi cant wait to hear how manny ppl are going to complain about the new call of booty sucking rom dieing out
Don't feel so bad. I barely learned of em this January 2021. But I already got me a rare ESR1000H with 20ah of Dakota Lithium LiFePO4 batteries so it's like I have the Extended version😎 ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS COMPANY AND THEIR PRODUCTS. GOPED USER FOR LIFE. GO RUSTY!!! THX FOR BRINGING GOPED BACK!!!
And each machine costs minimum of $750,000... how would YOU pay for that? Oh, yeah, people get paid to program those machines, and the software for programming is $5k-10k a year, nevermind the electricity to run it all... don't be a basic bro... Get educated.
2024 we still Riding goped❤
I just bought a new go quad 46 because it's an American MADE product! No cheap knockoffs will ever do what GoPeds engineering has accomplished.
Not exactly a ketchup bottle but not much different ether. It works out for this purpose, perfectly. They actually test drive every completed unit as part of QC so a separate gas tank keep the unit clean and brand spanking new.
I’m a cnc machinist and a goped lover too which made this video awesome, thanks for the upload!!
Glad to finally get this video made for all of you.

@cdane410 You are correct it "was" in California and then moved to Minden NV in 2003.
In the past and hopefully next season I set up the road cones at a ski resort parking lot with a ESR750EX. Made my own studded snow tires. Glad to finally see a video of the current facility!
@PMWgoped It was worth a try right?
lol
Keep making these I love them.
Awesome! I always wanted to see the inside of the new facility! Thanks!
awesome factory tour totally enjoyed watching the crew make them !
tnx
Close, but it's his big brother making these videos, of course there is always a little "Tim" influence in all of them. ;)
This is so cool, thanks for sharing.
Looks like the company had come a LONNNNGGG way since 1985! Congrats, great products = successful companies.
Great video nice to see how my Urban Ped was made!
OMG all of those machines look sooo expensive. That pipe bender was crazy!
Hope business smooths out after the covidity...

great video dude !!!
So much more high tech!
go-ped order picking carts FTW @ 1:10 if you ever worked at any warehouse that's proprietary go-ped manufacturing stuff right there lol awesome!

Sweet video now I see why my Goped is taking so damn long to arrive lol been over a month should be here any day now tho
Snow Mane ordered mine last week...they called me yesterday and told me it would be there NEXT WEEK. WTF. I feel your pain man!!
Snow Mane
@PMWgoped That sounds fun. I next time snow is predicted I'll pick up some some screws and make some. My tires are pretty worn, might as well give them a new life.

It would be cool if you made a step by step video of the making of a sport ped.
I live in the uk and we neeeeeeeeed some there!
I am making a carb tuning video in a couple of weeks (I hope, because I am busy busy busy right now)

I am not personally selling GoPeds, and don't know how many the factory sold over the 25 years they have been in business.
I believe there is a Go-Ped distributor for Sweden.
The last time I checked the price for the Sport was under $550.00
that was soo kool
Unfortunately, I cannot do all that in only a 500 character count that is allowed to comment on video in RUclips. There are some good stories and I have had the pleasure of playing a major roll in making the factory in Ireland possible.

Awesome! I remember seeing a thread on GPN with pics of the outside, this is like 45626326 times better.
@SuperTintom Look Up "Line One Distributing UK"
LOL, well if you don't have a choke then the engine is going to hard to start when its cold and if you don't know how to start a cold engine without a choke then you could be flooding the engine each time you try to start it. Where can I get replacement parts like the exhaust hose connector and fuel lines in So Calif?
👏👏👏👏👽
I just took my racing xpipe of my goped and I am wondering if it's ride able I waz trying to put it back stock so u guys know who a goped looks with out a back cover or a pipe I Relly need to know if it's ok to ride its a goped sport 2 is there a way I can sent u a pic of it
You can run the engine without the covers but it is not a good idea to run the engine without the muffler/pipe.
Oh which go ped should I get the sport or the Gti or somin like that
Sounds like you have a fouled spark plug, out of tune carb, dirty air filter and/or a clogged fuel system.
Very nice factory. I currently own a GSR-40..though nothing like how it ships out of your factory...heavily modded. One thing I don't like is the constant repairing and cleaning etc on a scooter...not really a con...part of the experiance i spose.

@Goped314 LOL, "Go-Cerey Kart" I love it…. But your right that's exactly what it is.
@PMWgoped Hey I like the idea of using a ketchup bottle as a test gas tank.
Pretty smart.

clutches slip. if your goal is to be fast in a race or just to have direct power without lag, you would want a direct drive.
I feel dumb as a Rock how could these be around and I never seen any
Don't feel so bad. I barely learned of em this January 2021.
